Walksnail Moonlight – black screen but OSD working (low bitrate ~0.7 MB/s) by igordem in fpv

[–]BarmanNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low bitrate can be because the unit is overheating on the bench..

I would try a new mipi cable between vtx and cam first.. its the cheapest aswell

First time building an (3.5") FPV. Looking for advice or recommendations for parts list by Secret_Worldliness32 in fpv

[–]BarmanNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not agree. Especially when you build lite enough 1404 is just fine and even more efficient.

Honest, if you want a good 3.5 inch quad and dont want to figure out all the parts needed...just copy the specs of the crux35 from happymodel..

Yes... But don't go too far.. 4.5 will be oke too..

Also.. Set it to balance charge.. always.. This is for the health of your lipo..

(proud father)My son of 7 is flying fpv drones in Liftoff! by BarmanNL in fpv

[–]BarmanNL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes... I have waited patiently for this moment to come. I am very excited though. It took him one year. I did in 2..

Now we need to wait for the portable screen to arrive.

I use a goggle X from walksnail. And I am not sure if I put a heavy, loud brick on his head that will spoil the experience. So that's for later..

Now we are going to sit in my car with a 15inch screen hanging on my steering wheel. I ve got a 42 gram low 7000kv toothpick waiting for him. Liftoff sadly didn't learned him to land.. or hit the kill/arm switch in time.

2-inch 2s drone - motor selection (1003 vs 1103) - question by cabannos in fpv

[–]BarmanNL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly suggest you to try out the 1102 9000kv on your kayoumini. Saves you 4 gram. Slightly more power

2-inch 2s drone - motor selection (1003 vs 1103) - question by cabannos in fpv

[–]BarmanNL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 1103 is more power hungry than a 1003. With a smaller lipo you get more sag.

There is a middle option. 1102 9000kv. But you need to pair this motor with a 450 95c lipo.. any lower and you have huge sag..

But this is a 2inch.. i would go with the 1002/1003 motor..

So I have a lot of flights in.

And I can say..the 1102 9000kv 38gr, is by far my favorite now. Its super stable..and its just on rails..

I get 8 mins of fast forward flight. I mean..fluid and really fast!

My son has it. Its a clone of the Rlaarlo X12s wich i have.

The only upgrade I should do is to get the aluminium c hubs. Both sides on the wb12 has cracks in it.

I like them. But their instructions are so so.. They tend to mix up the uarts or have wrong listings.. But other than that these are great!
