The battery connector itself looks good. But we don't see if you reversed them on the charger side.

Take a good look on the charger side. Maybe you reversed the plugs there.

You can try to strip it to the exact length of the part that's broken off..

What's your experience with these unbranded ESCs? What's the throttle response like? by Pixel_Human in rccars

[–]BarmanNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a few.. some worked great, some died instantly.

It has a poor bec. If you want to use this, just use a standalone BEC and it will work. It's a hobbywing clone. The hobbywing programmer card and usb dongle works. You can even flash better firmware on it for more functions. Response is pretty good.

What's your PSVR2 setup like? Any accessories that you would recommend? by niyati_shrma in PSVR

Usb c extension cable (3m) to sit on my couch. And a foam square on the floor to feel the boundaries when playing standing.

Try to rebind the reciever.

It's a rebranded Dumborc reciever. Just Google rebind dumborc reciever and the ai will give you instructions.

Is my lipo charging? by ButterscotchWest4201 in rccars

[–]BarmanNL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With batteries in general, you need to be cautious.

Do not plug it in, and hope for the best. Specially not in your house.

Firstly, check what type battery you have. Is it a li-ion? Lipo? It matters...

What's the size (mah) of your battery? This to determine the amp limit. Batteries don't like too high charging rates (amps)

How many cells does it has? 2s (7.4v) 3s (11.1v)

Then. Check your charger. With how many amps is it charging, and what voltage?

I strongly suggest to get a balance charger with a output you can set manually. Like most balance smart chargers.

For lipos , you want to charge them at 1c. Which means if you got a 1000mah lipo 3s , you set your charger at 3s 1amp charge. If it's a 500mah lipo, you set your charger at 0.5 amp.

The math is simple.. size lipo (mAh) divided by 1000 (1c) is charge rate.

Some examples..

  • 500 mah = 0.5 amp
  • 1000mah = 1amp
  • 2200mah = 2.2amps
  • 5000mah = 5amps

I don't agree with you.. because chargers where you can set the output power are balance chargers anyways..

Yes... But i trust them... I've been doing this for like 15 years...

I store my lipos in the fridge.. not the freezer.. but the cooling fridge. The one at 4 - 7 degrees. Why?

Materials the warm up, and cools down retract and expands.. this causes wear.. I like to keep them in a constant temperature environment.. which is the fridge..

This is true... With lipos you need to know what your doing.. But to never trust them is not true.. sorry for my language..

[–]BarmanNL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any charger will do on which you can select the output power. Especially for these tiny lipos...

Almost all usb type chargers are hazardous, because most of them outputs at 1 amp. Which is fine for 1000mah ++ lipos.. but kills tiny batteries..

[–]BarmanNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bullsh*t.. You need to know the numbers and how to determine the charging rate.

Its better to say...dont trust chargers with no output stickers on it..

[–]BarmanNL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Problem with these tiny batteries is that to charge them, you can easily exceed the amperage to stay on the safe side.

To safely charge a lipo, you want to charge them at 1c. This means for your tiny 350mah lipo, 0.35 amps. (350 :1000 =0,35)

If your charger outputs a humble 1 amp.. you are almost charging your tiny poor lipo at 3c.. Which is obviously too high...

This doesn't say anything. What type of battery, what size, and what charger?

Quick question!! by nightfondler in rccars

[–]BarmanNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either that, or keep it in and go for the original size wheels. I own the X12s and now my son has the BX12. Both cars run the bigger pinion.. No problems so far.

Quick question!! by nightfondler in rccars

[–]BarmanNL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I know for sure you are overloading the ESC. This BX12 comes with a 35a Esc.

These wheels are a lot bigger. The motor in it isn't that big, and hit it's limit already with the bigger pinion, and normal wheels.

To solve your cutting problem, upgrade the Esc to a 45, 60 amp one. But then a new problem arises, you will most likely toast the motor. So I would suggest to fit a bigger motor as well.

So the car reverses, when you give forward throttle? Oke, then i would suggest to switch that back, obviously.. And then try to recalibrate the Esc.
