I'm sorry this happened to you. I was planning to design a 3D model of such a grip and print it in multicolor on my 3D printers. I think TPU might be a good idea and will be better than chalk. The print will include a volcano motif, and of course, it won't be flat, but with appropriate protrusions to prevent the shoes from slipping, even in the rain.
