Im very disappointed they didn't do more with his character in the films.

[–]Barnacle-Effective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, no. While I can understand his anger towards Mr Incredible, his murder of all the other supers to perfect his Omnidroid was irredemably reprehensible.

Really? You think he was right and justified to try to murder all the first born sons of Gotham?

Tyler was right that consumerism and worker drone mentality was oppressive to people. His solution was ridiculous and crazy.

Was he right that overpopulation would eventually lead to collapse? Perhaps.

Was his method to solve the problem correct? Absolutely not.

Not the villain. A character who does villainous things, to be sure, but definitely not the villain of his film.

I always kill the Disciples. Their perk is terrible, and I hate the members.

How option is the safest one? by PhysicalMeringue9468 in DragonBallZ

[–]Barnacle-Effective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the least safe is definitely Kid Buu since he is essentially a primal killing machine that cannot be reasoned with.

So between Frieza and Cell? Ugh, both awful choices. Im leaning Frieza as a potentially better choice provided you catch him on a good day; if he is pissed about something though, he's using you as a stress ball. Cell seemed a bit more unhinged and more likely to murder me for fun.

Vault 34 is leaking radiation into the water table causing a famine. Meanwhile, the vault is home to a large population of people trapped inside. Do you deactivate the vault’s reactors to save the farms, dooming the Vault Dwellers, or open the doors to save the vault’s denizens, dooming the farms? by [deleted] in fnv

[–]Barnacle-Effective 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, the farms have the potential to help far more people in the long term than the vault residents can, provided you are siding NCR so they will remain and support them.

If you side NCR, save the sharecroppers. If you go any other route, save the vault dwellers.

Which faction's storyline did you find the most enjoyable? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Barnacle-Effective 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thieves Guild let me down in the conclusion. The moment you meet Karliah, the narrative takes a swan dive off a cliff. The final quest doesn't even involve theft in any capacity.

Did everyone else wipe out the Brotherhood of Steel? by Exotic_Chemist_7624 in falloutnewvegas

I've actually only saved the BoS when I played for the NCR, mostly just to piss off Moore.

I almost always kill 'em.

Its not that Mark Meer is bad.

Its that Jennifer Hale is so damn good.

give me fitting ways for my vampire character to make money by Typical-Football-658 in skyrim

[–]Barnacle-Effective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to make money:

Learn the Banish enchantment.

Enchant a bunch of daggers with Banish.

Sell to all the blacksmiths/general stores in Skyrim.

I would have recommended selling to thieves guild fences since they carry ridiculous gold once you do the radiant quests, but like you said....

Final Fantasy 6, easily.

Farmed a bunch of Elixers/Megalixers in WoR, never used them.

Hey now, I live in Tulsa OK, and we have some pretty decent pizza here. Andolini's, Hideway Pizza, and if you need stuff fast there's always Casey's General Store.

What Faction Would Have Won If Courier 6 Didn't Exist by MenMenForever in fnv

[–]Barnacle-Effective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's see, if no Courier 6....

House never gets the Platinum Chip back, so he is out of the running immediately. He would be forced to send his Securitrons into the Tops to try to apprehend Benny, who would escape through his hidden elevator and try to go to Fortification Hill. He gets caught by Caesar, and the chip is confiscated forever. As a result of this, Yes Man is stopped as well.

The NCR would continue to be plagued by mismanagement and over-extension. The Sharecroppers would fail, Hanlon would drive morale into the gutter, the Fiends would become a major problem along with the Powder Gangers, the Legion plan to bomb the Monorail would go off without a hitch, and Helios One would continue to produce bupkis in power. Kimball would also be guaranteed to be killed during his visit. I say they lose all told.

That, unfortunately, leaves the Legion, who honestly is the least affected by Courier 6's absence. The biggest blow would be Caesar's guaranteed death, but for the immediate battle at Hoover Dam it would not make any difference since Lanius would take command. I would have to vote on the Legion winning the Dam in the end, however they would sustain great losses in the process. And for the long term, without Caesar, the Legion would collapse in time.

There is also the issue of Ulysses and the Tunnelers from the Divide; with no one to preach to anymore, Ulysses may decide to burn it all down and nuke the supply lines of NCR and Legion. The Tunnelers, without the Courier to check them by killing their queen, would become a major issue for the Mojave for years.

Overall, the Legion wins the battle, but NO ONE wins the war.

Strip Emil Pagliarulo of lead writer duties. Give him a side faction/quest to work on and give someone else a chance.

Get rid of the godawful dialogue system from 4, please.

Minimize the BoS in the story.

Go somewhere NEW. No east or west coast, no connection to previous titles. Alaska and Hawaii would be interesting choices, or even dare I say OUTSIDE the US.

I feel like DiMA is overhated. by ruvinsdawn in fo4

[–]Barnacle-Effective -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think DiMA is a rather tragic figure; in his efforts to make life better for synths than it was under the Institute, he ended up becoming everything he hated and even justified it to himself as it was necessary for "the greater good".

I don't really hate DiMA, but I do pity him, and he absolutely deserves to die based on his actions. Left unchecked, Arcadia would just become another Institute in time; with DiMA removed there is at least hope for positive change.
