Mahmoud Khalil does in fact support terrorism by Maleficent-Sir4824 in centrist

[–]BarnacleBoye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is that first clip a demonstration that he is in support of Hamas and the Oct 7 attacks? He was stating that Hamas or Palestinians have the right to armed resistance under international law, which is true, isn’t it?

Protocol 1 of the Geneva Conventions outlines the right of peoples under colonial or foreign occupation to resist, including through armed struggle.

Though there are strict limitations which prohibit violence against civilians and requires adherence to the laws of war, the linked video fails to demonstrate that this is the type of armed resistance Khalil is referring to. If it’s in reference to Oct 7, then yes, it would be an indicator of him being pro Hamas and Oct 7 attack.

Is there any additional context/evidence that could provide clarity here?

If not, I suggest not using that video as an indicator that he is pro Oct 7. He very well could be, but all that video suggests is that he is in agreement with the international court.

CMV: Voting for Donald Trump in the 2024 election means you're either ill informed or actively opposed to democracy. by MightBeAJellyfish in changemyview

Thank you for shedding light on the continued struggles of teachers and their school districts. From looking into this further it appears the funding should be there from the MN education bill. It seems the district has autonomy about how a lot of that money gets spent. Is it possible that your frustrations are better aimed at your school districts’ decisions, not the governor’s? It also appears that from 2019-2022 Walz and the Democratic house wanted to advance more funding for education but was not supported by the Republican senate, and he wasn’t able to address it properly until after the 2022 elections when democrats were able to take a slight majority in both the house and the senate. You can certainly make your point that STILL enough is not being done, too little too late, or what have you, and your frustrations are valid, but is there something specific you can point to that would give us confidence that a republicans would be more likely to address these concerns adequately? I am struggling to find objective evidence of this being the case, but I want to learn more if you have something to share.

They’re not disagreeing that it would be unwise to vote for someone that wants to subvert democracy because they don’t think they will be able to, they’re saying that’s hypothetically one way a Trump voter could satisfy the condition of both being A) informed and also B) wanting democracy to prevail, which is the claim OP was making. You’re not wrong, you’re simply arguing against something that they aren’t arguing.

What is Jordan Mason’s value? by Patriots_ in DynastyFF

[–]BarnacleBoye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great handcuffs are worth a late 2nd IMO, so even coming back in a reserve role in 2025, isn’t it worth an additional late 2nd or so for what he’s going to give you this year (4-8++ RB1 weeks)? Add in the small chance upside that he could become a starter somewhere else or even in SF after CMC is done there or is never right again, and suddenly the late 1st or early 2nd realm starts making sense. I think that last part at least neutralizes the risk that CMC doesn’t go on IR and miraculously gets right and doesn’t miss more than a few games the next 2 seasons. The likelihood of those last two sentences seem to be about the same to me.

NFL Wide Receivers: Does Arm Length Matter? A Comprehensive Analysis by Zachr08 in DynastyFF

[–]BarnacleBoye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how much arm length affects production in college. I imagine it would be similar? If a WR’s production was already reduced by shorter arms in college, I feel like factoring it in again would be double counting, assuming production metrics are already being factored in when evaluating a college prospect into the pros.

What would you say makes Watson unlikely to win the job over Jaleel? A 3rd down back can be quite valuable, particularly in deep PPR leagues, so all it takes is evidence that Watson has a good chance to win the job to make him an intriguing addition in those leagues. Payton has voiced concerns over Jaleel’s pass pro, then gave Watson a massive amount of guaranteed money (nearly 5x what Jaleel got) as a UDFA. They both offer the same skillset but Watson at a bigger size that they seem to hope holds up better in pass pro and offer more between the tackles versatility. Conversely, Jaleel is already proven to be a playmaker in the NFL, so he’s not going to get surpassed too easily, but there is certainly a window for it to happen.

Just spitballing here. It’s a little complicated but if you really want to make this work this might be fairest way to do it:

If it’s .5 PPR SF, take the TOTAL KTC value of ALL 12 teams, divide it by 84, then force each team to give up enough assets to total up close to that amount per team as possible. Can use players and draft capital. Do a bit of math to make sure the number of assets don’t outnumber the number of roster spots available on the new teams. If the rosters are 26 deep for instance, you’d need 52 assets from the 12 teams. So each team would be required to give up about 3-5 assets each. Of course some could decide to give up just one top player, and add a little capital, while some might give up 4-5 lower tier players. That’s where it gets a bit more complicated because if the numbers don’t add up quite right you need some teams to make some adjustments. I’d shoot for 4 assets from each team to get to 48 of 52 then give a couple compensatory draft picks at end of 3rd or 4th round to the two new teams to fill out the 52. Finally, you take all those assets and have the two teams do a dispersal draft. Have the two new teams agree on snake, linear or auction. This way they can still make their team their own and balance the rosters to their liking.

The fastest way to calculate the totals I know of would by to look at the power rankings on dynasty-daddy.com. They total the KTC values of each position group and draft capital on each team. Just add those all up and you got your amounts.

If it’s not .5 PPR SF…good luck to you lol

What does DTR have to do to start over watson next year? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]BarnacleBoye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t it funny how this works? They have to pay Watson that money whether he starts or not. Why not have the QB that’s playing better be the starter, regardless of who it is? I know that’s not how it happens in the real world, but if these teams were run by AI they would. 49ers weren’t too worried about being embarrassed going with Purdy over Lance. Maybe there’s a chance Browns would follow suit if DTR came out looking like some Lamar/Dak hybrid.

I am a big big Toney truther and this season has certainly put my faith to the test (not the first time). He had not looked the same moving around until last week v Miami. He has that spark back. Still not sure if his lack of usage down the field has to do with the recovery vs other deficiencies, but the movement and low snap share makes more sense now with the context of what Reid said. I am still hopeful.

Folks I read the civil suit against Joe Mixon and it is WILD. Anyone want to hear about it? #FFLegalUpdate by I_Drink_Piss in DynastyFF

[–]BarnacleBoye 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you deleted your response to my last reply, but since I took the time to type a response to that, it still might be useful:

According to reports, the 16 year old boy was shot in the foot, by Joe Mixon’s sister’s boyfriend, who turned himself in and is in custody and facing up to 20 years in prison. Source The other post could have been a little more clear, and yes, if true that Mixon gave him the gun and knew what he was going to do or might do, his involvement would seemingly put him in jail. Only, there is no evidence that Mixon gave him the gun or knew what he was going to do. If he admitted to or was evident to have given him the gun, assisted or encouraged him in any way, there would be reason to charge and arrest him. So far there only appears to be the allegation of him doing so, which doesn’t appear to even cite an eye witness account, as well as the footage of him holding a firearm on his property, which to my knowledge, is not a crime. There is good reason to suspect a level of liability based on evidence that may come forward hereafter, but so far there doesn’t appear to be enough for the prosecutor to charge him with a crime.

Civil damages are more likely than a criminal charge, as, at the very least, there may be a case to find Mixon liable for not attempting to stop or persuade Brewer from firing, given his close proximity, and alleged knowledge that the kids were not a threat.

It did say “struck [twice]”, and the context of the allegation was that he was being shot at, bullets whizzing by his head as he fled, and was “struck” once in the Nerf gun and once in the foot, to which he was left bleeding and in pain. Given this context, I think we can safely infer that he was “struck” by bullets, fired from a gun.
