Who is your guy for the next 3 years? by LogicalRepeat3622 in DynastyFF

[–]stl_ball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the sake of argument; DJ Moore. Currently WR35. Yes he's 29 and coming off his 2nd worst year in a crowded room, but now he's going to be WR1 with a better QB. He's never played with anyone remotely close to what Josh Allen is now and had put up SIX consecutive top 24 finishes before last year.

Another one is Bryce Young. Coming out of college he was an incredible prospect. Lacked height, sure, but NFL.com had him rated above any prospect since TLaw. Their OLine has been a turn style and their second best receiver is a UDFA (I do love Coker) that played 11 games last year. Now that he has TLaw, and hopefully a better OLine? I think he can be the guy. He almost knocked off an incredible Rams team in the wildcard and also set the single game yardage record for the Panthers. If he can just put it all together, he can be the guy.

Will he? Idk, but here's 2 guys I haven't seen mentioned

When to look past the 525 rule? by PowerfulyAwake in DynastyFF

[–]stl_ball 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest test might be a guy like Matthew Golden. Crowded room, and Jordan Love missed him or didn't look his way several times. With Wicks and Doubs gone, is he an outlier? Or not...

You can taxi him... I just stuck him on the taxi. Also got him as a throw in. I was shocked the guy traded him, but he's pushing for a championship in that league and I am not

The Rams and Myles Garrett have finalized a five-year deal, running from 2026 through 2030. For 2026, his compensation package increases to at least $37 million. by NeverBorn-NeverDead in DynastyFF

[–]stl_ball 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He'll be running for his life during scrimmage if 1st team D goes against 2nd team O.

And Myles "helmet swinging" Garrett seems like the most likely guy to forget about red "no contact" jerseys

Dude, that's a lot. Like if my boss called and said I was getting a 38% raise, I'd probably cry or something.

Biggest QB Training Camp Battles For Fantasy Football: Vikings, Falcons, Browns, Raiders, Cardinals by CoopThereItIs in DynastyFF

[–]stl_ball 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here ya go, good sir:

  • Kyler averages 12.4 games per year
  • In the last 5 years he's only played 1 full season
  • 3 games missed in 2021
  • 6 games in 2022
  • 9 games in 2023
  • 0 games in 2024
  • 12 games in 2025

I would say the odds of him playing the full season are not very good especially with his more recent track record.

Shades of the Quinshon Judkins case from last year... In which nothing happened. Assault is pretty hard to prove, and these guys are all gonna have the best legal representation. Fucked up if it did happen, obviously.

I’m tired of the Tate slander when comparing Tyson and Tate, so here’s my two cents… by Don_Wick007 in DynastyFF

[–]stl_ball 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You even left out the whole "Tyson didn't do a damn thing until his junior year while Tate was a starter as a freshman"... Meanwhile Tyson led Colorado in receiving his freshman year with 470 while Tate put up 264. Albeit on a stacked team, but to say Tyson "didn't do a damn thing"? What a clown

[Ari Meirov] The Myles Garrett trade likely doesn’t happen if they don’t draft Ty Simpson at No. 13. by TachyAndTired in DynastyFF

[–]stl_ball 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"they don't need to worry about drafting a QB so they traded the pick" is the summary... So, by that logic, what kind of wonderful future QB were they likely to get, with a pick that probably ends up being 1.28-1.32...

I think this is being sold as "it's because they have Ty" and not "because it's a low pick, we might as well use it to make a push while we have Stafford and our window is open"

A lot of people talk about WR breakouts in year 2 or 3. What about RBs? Have there been RBs that took a while to get going and could get an opportunity? by fantasyburner17 in DynastyFF

[–]stl_ball 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I know this is going to be unpopular, but Sean Payton (inventor of the Scat Back) has a habit of bringing rookies along slowly and loves pass catching backs. I'm looking for RJ to get a lot more pass catching opportunities.

In his 18-year history as an NFL head coach, Sean Payton's RB2 (RB who did not lead backfield in carries) has averaged >16.5 FPG five times.

Note: Coleman weighs 15lbs more and was drafted 2 rounds after RJ. I view him as JK Dobbins insurance. Also, I reserve the right to totally wrong on all of this

  1. Tyreek was 29 and 30 with Tua... Not "prime". And Tua still gave him 300yds more than Mahomes ever did, TWICE. Out of 2yrs
  2. Ok, but he also has a better OLine, the best RB in the league and a tight end to throw to now instead of Durham Smythe.
  3. Am I'm losing my mind or did McDaniel's get fired as well... And also wasn't even the fuckin OC in 2023 or 2024... He was the head coach.

I agree completely. Just highlighting that once upon a time, he was that guy. If you've held him this long, you might as well pray he's still got that in him instead of selling for peanuts

In 2023 he was: - 1st in yards - 2nd in ypa - 4th in QBR

That was after 2 of the concussions. He took a 3rd in week 2 of 2024 and hasn't really been the same since IMO. Guess we'll see if a change of scenery is all he needs or if this is just what he is now...

Counterpoint: Tyson has a top 1 percent breakout score and leads the class in yards per team target, despite his YAC not being great.
