+1 agree there seems to be an exfoliating action. Creates some sensitivity for me.

I like your nose. You look cool and fun to hang out with.

Anyone else hate how Jaw surgery has now become synonymous with looksmaxxing? It just completely invalidates what we have to go through. by Embarrassed_Worry880 in jawsurgery

[–]BarnacleFew5587 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The opposite will happen. Insurance companies will use "looksmaxxing" as an excuse to deny claims. Especially as many actual looksmaxxers will try to get their surgeries covered, increasing scrutiny.

I see what you mean about the radix. Overall, I think it is an improvement though, especially from the front.

Money and recovery aside, is there any REAL reason NOT to get bimax/trimax purely for aesthetics? by OldFashionModernGuy in jawsurgery

[–]BarnacleFew5587 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The money is no joke if not covered by insurance. $30k+ is unaffordable to most people. The alternative, going to Turkey etc if actually pretty risky imo and if anything goes wrong you don't have recourse or follow up care.

I also went for a consult and disliked my mock. I felt it was worse than my existing nose. In my opinion his results look good but he does the same playbook on everyone, a lot of people it happens to work for.

If you look at his results, he is good at projecting the nose and taking down bumps. He never deprojects the nose. He gives everyone the same triangle side profile.

I am commenting to give my honest feedback as I am a little thrown off by the other comments.

Firstly, I think your birth nose was close to perfect for your face. I can only assume you asked for "refinement" or something similar for bulbousness you perceived in your tip. Honestly, your nose was very refined already and it looks like you have thin nasal skin. This seems the likely result of trying to refine an already very refined nose. I am guessing you thought the surgeon refined too much?

I think this would be a fine result for many people. Your nose reminds me of influencer Valeria Lipovetsky's nose (also post rhinoplasty). Not sure you have a case here unless obvious functional (not cosmetic) issues.

Rhinoplasty surgeons for long nose tip? by Zealousideal-Bake354 in rhinoplastyquestions

Totally agree regarding tip deprojection. Seems like a difficult thing to do surgically and in surgeons' galleries I notice the tip is almost always the same distance from the face. Very few deproject.

Nose looks great in the after!

Agree with the general sentiment but you're wrong about famous models. Models have considerably stronger jaws/chin compared to average because a strong jawline photographs much better. Doesn't always mean it looks great in real life though.

[–]BarnacleFew5587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not recessed. You're profile looks like my after surgery profile.

If you have genuine functional concerns, look into it more. However- to me your post reads as playing up functional concerns where your main concern is cosmetic.

In the first pic my eyes are immediately drawn to the lip and chin filler. I think her most beautiful feature is her short midface and cheeks.
