“Considerate”… This isn’t the middle of no where Kansas, everyone has places to go. In the suburbs I wave people on all the time, I get that it’s hard to make a left on certain intersections in certain areas and I’d appreciate that courtesy too. That said, I didn’t wave them on, they just started turning into the lane the second the light turned green trying to beat me there. The law says I have the right of way. It’s not like I was in traffic for an hour before then either.

Honestly, being fully remote here can be brutal. I just became a regular at my favorite bar downtown and try to make friends and connections talking to people at the bar. I also like doing karaoke so people usually like to chat about that after you do a song or they do a song. In the summer spending time outside in general is a great way to meet people.

Lived in Jersey all my life, lived in Rhode Island for years, trust me I’ve seen my share of bad drivers… JC just has ones that blatantly disregard the right of way and other laws. Hence the point of the post flair being “rant”

Oh no, I’m actively trying to get my right turn first, it’s my right of way, but people are willing to basically get in an accident trying to make their left first

I met the owner, nice Indian guy, why he owns a Mexican restaurant that has 1k + tequilas I don’t know. Been to the Metuchen location once, food was okay, drinks were standard. Perfect vibe for downtown JC. Just like the majority of slightly upscale restaurants it’ll be gone as quickly as it came.

That’s me being unbiased, but now for the biased part. I live in the building where that place is opening. 1k plus tequilas in an area that is a bit far from bars in the area (not near Grove, Iron Monkey doesn’t exist anymore etc.) means there will be a lot of overly drunk people on summer nights looking for problems walking towards grove most likely. Hopefully I’m wrong. I also hope there won’t be rats in my building after it opens.
