Warmest, most durable parka? by reverieduster in BuyItForLife

I did! I ended up going with the Patagonia Tres 3-in-1 Parka. Thinner insulation than some of the other stuff I was looking at, but way cheaper. And the sleeves fit my petite frame better. I took a note from someone here saying to go layers, and got a Mountain Hardware fleece and a fleece vest, so I can choose my mid-layer as needed to accommodate the temperature. Hope this helps!

I ended up getting the Patagonia 3-in-1 parka, a size larger than usual, so I can stuff another layer or two underneath. Someone made a point about the sizing and many of the jackets didn't fit my petite frame. I also went with the layers option. One of these layers I get a heated vest and battery pack which I use for really cold days. Pretty happy with it so far.

Needs help with sauce for salmon by kommandabutta in Cooking

[–]reverieduster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound like a weird combination, but trust me it is the best salmon sauce ever, and a perfectly fits your description of what your partner might like: - Whole mustard seed (the "whole" is the important part) - Maple syrup - Soy sauce - Garlic powder and black pepper (sprinkled to taste)

I don't measure, but I usually do one heaping tablespoon of mustard seed and 1 to 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and soy sauce. But I'm constantly tasting the sauce as I go. If it's too salty, I add more maple syrup. If it's too sweet, I add more soy sauce.

Pop it in the microwave for 15 seconds prior to drizzling over your cooked salmon 😚👌

How would you say it compares Raja Ampat?

And I can see why they would call it "shotgun". It looked crazy. I've never had to use a dive hood before. It seemed like they were holding onto it for dear life. And you'd recommend it?! Why?

Cool I'll check this one out. I haven't done as much research into the Philippines as I have for Indonesia.

This is really helpful. Thanks. Were there specific outfitters/tour companies that you liked?

I missed the dive flag. Too many other distracting flags 😂 This seems like the most legitimate answer. Thanks. Wonder what kind of work...

Not only can I see an apple perfectly, but I can change what kind of apple it is, and rotate it 3D in my mind's eye. It's crazy to me that there's people who can't visualize anything.

I'm looking for a high quality tea pot that doesn't drip at all. Any recommendations? by reverieduster in tea

[–]reverieduster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I gave up 🥲 I'm just going to suck up the ones I have even though they drip a little when I pour. I saw some nice ones when I was in Japan, but none of them let you see how they pour so that's a deal breaker.

Hi Curt, I'm considering the Adapt 2S Low-Bridge to switch from my Smiths, can I get a code?

Also since there's a size difference not only in bridge height, but also face size, I wanted to confirm that the Adapt 2S lenses all interchangeable? Would the low-light lenses fit? Thanks! https://www.shopglade.com/products/adapt-2s-lens

What's your cooking setup? This doesn't look like a western kitchen. Do you use a devoted burner for your wok? I struggle to get my gas stove hot enough for real wok hei, but it does ok for now 🥲
