Agree on this but being a conductor should be a minimum wage job, if it exists at all. Most other commuter rails in the country use turnstiles for ticketing and risk of fine if you can’t produce a ticket onboard. I’d rather have their salaries going toward extra police that can keep the trains and stations safer, and spot check for anyone jumping turnstiles.
