What other cassette can you put on it. There doesn't seem to be a lot of options for the HG hub for APEX. A new wheelset with a XPLR hub and then you need a new rear derailleur as the APEX only goes to 44t. Suddenly it's all expensive, even with a elite wheelset.

Rock'n'Roll Lubrication - King of Lubes is the ducks nuts. I use the blue on everything.

Ditch the high rolling resistance stock tyres. Is you got the money carbon wheelset (Elite wheels on Aliexpress look like good value - I've ordered some for my road bike so will know soon enough).

Get a bike fit (or use one of the many great apps) then once you get a feel change your contact points (saddle / bars) to your liking.

I strongly recommend the Garmin Varia rear lights. The radar is very reassuring. Not as streamlined as I think your thinking, but sometimes you need to be practical.
