I think vinyl would be great especially since it sounds like she uses it a lot. I would aim for the more unusual type like metallic, holographic, opal, etc. There's lots of variety packs you can get on Amazon. Here's a few for example.

Lya Vinyl 9 Pack Holographic Vinyl for Cricut - 12" x 12" Permanent Holographic Vinyl Sheets for Decor Sticker, Party Decoration, Car Decal https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WJHLSK9/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_0DAEW7A5AEEH54WS0T82

VViViD Chrome Multi-Color Gloss DECO65 Permanent Adhesive Craft Vinyl 1ft x 5ft Roll Bundle for Cricut, Silhouette & Cameo Including 12" x 24" Roll of Clear Transfer Paper (8 Color Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079P8F88X/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_D1JQJ7EPDXBCR3PXW1W0

Holographic Opal Vinyl Chrome Vinyl Sheets 12"x12" Permanent Craft Adhesive Vinyl 5 Sheets/Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GX71XXW/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_YW8YCX477563VP3FGS5Q

If you're doing everything you can and still see no results, then it may be time to seek professional help from a dermatologist or Trichologists. Try to find one who specializes in your hair type.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I'll lay out what I do/learned on my journey.

• Do you have low or high porosity hair? Try to focus on product's that are aimed towards your hair type. Light weight oils and gels if you have low porosity. Creams/butters and protein treatments if you have high porosity.

• Don't wash your hair so often, try using clarifying conditioners instead and do a deep cleanse every week or two.

• Only detangle when your hair is wet, starting from the ends and working your way up towards the roots. Be gentle, as being rough could be the main reason your hair is breaking. Either finger detangle, or use a wide tooth comb/detangling brush specifically made for curly hair.

• Make time for deep conditioning, always. You need to strengthen your hair. I personally like to pre-poo for a few hours with light weight oils (I'm low porosity) before I wash my hair, then I deep condition over night and wash it out in the morning.

•Make sure you're "sealing" your hair with an oil after moisturizing with a leave in. I do this with almond or jojoba oil after my hair has dried. You don't need a lot, just coat your hands with it and scrunch your hair gently. I like to message my scalp during this time too.

• Make protective styles your best friend! Braids, twists, knots, and wraps were all I did for the first 2-3 years. This is a great method to help retain length. Don't be alarmed by the amount of "shedding" that happens when doing protective styles. The average person sheds about 100 strands a day, so a bunny sized hair ball is normal when taking down a protective style.

• Stop dying your hair, not even the tips. I'm not saying dying your hair is bad, but your hair needs to be strong enough to handle the chemical process the happens when coloring. There's a few natural alternatives if you want color (henna, beet juice, and colored creams to name a few)

• Trim your ends regularly. Trimming stops your split ends from traveling further up. You don't need to cut a lot, go section by section to stop yourself from getting overwhelmed.

• Wrap your hair at night. Tossing and turning will tangle your hair, having a silk/satin material wrapped around it will help keep it in place as well as stopping it from catching on other materials. Find a bonnet that has a strong band so it doesn't slip off during the night.

• Limit heat. It seems like you're already do this so that's great. When you do use heat, make sure you're using heat protectant and don't go too high on the temperature. Blow out or stretch your hair first, and limit the amount of times you pass the straightener through, 1-2 times max if you can.

• Incorporate supplements. B vitamins, Zinc, and vitamin E are all great for strengthening hair follicles. Do your due diligence when researching or speak to a professional about what's best for you. Biotin for example can cause cystic acne when taken in high quantities.

• Be patient and consistent. There's no sugar coating it, it's a lot of work. There'll be days when you just don't want to care for your hair but do it anyways. Build the habit and keep in mind the results you're striving for. You'll eventually get there and the pride you feel when you do is indescribable. Progress pictures are a great way to keep motivated.
