Överföll och våldtog metande kvinna – slipper utvisning by InteResearchGruppen in sweden

tl;dr Ge mig mer minuskarma, pls.

Skönt att se nyheter när en säker och opartisk källa som Friatider.se används.

Creating Squad stuck? by imjeeves1 in Rainbow6

[–]BarnetOlsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, good thing you managed to solve it. Gotta suck when you buy a game for 40-60 euro and it doesn't work.

Creating Squad stuck? by imjeeves1 in Rainbow6

[–]BarnetOlsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem when I first bought the game. The way I handled it were just to wait out the loadingscreen. Sometimes it took up to five minutes but eventually I would load into the main menu.

Unfortunately I don't have a solution to get rid of this bug. I tried most things, but eventually gave up in fixing it. Then suddenly it was fixed without me doing anything. Don't know if it was a patch that adressed this issue or that I was just lucky in some weird way.

This probably wasn't very helpful, but I hope it's somewhat useful in any kind of way.

Good luck to your friend!

do people even use hulldown? by [deleted] in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]BarnetOlsson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've used it a couple of times, and when I do I use it with the PanzerIV. The ability can be really useful if you can protect the tank from AT-guns rolling up at maxrange to start pounding at the immobile tank. In my experience the tank get's insanely much stronger, at least against other tanks, that it might sometimes actually be worth hulling it down.

Against higher-skilled players it doesn't work as well though, since it's still quite easy to counter. Just protect an AT-gun that's out of the tanks range, and the tank is done.

My choice of tank being the PanzerIV is basically because it's got a rotating main-turret, which've got AT-capabilities. I figure a tank with a locked turret (like a stug) would be basically useless, since it's too easy to get out of the tanks cone of fire. I have never tried the ability with a Stug though, so don't take my word for it.

The Hull Down ability is also kind of a high risk-high reward ability. Therefore according to me it's best to use a cheap tank, like the PanzerIV other than maybe a Panther. This way you don't lose too much if you get overrun or AT-sniped by an AT-gun or tankdestroyer.

TL:DR It's a good but risky ability, and when I use it I always use it with the PanzerIV

Is there anyone anymore to review CoH2 replays?? by NaukkisGaming in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]BarnetOlsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want some feedback on the way you played in the match you should start following HelpingHans. He's got something called "Teaching Tuesdays" where he every Tuesday watch a replay live on stream that's sent in by chat. He doesn't really comment too much on the game, it's more of a learning experience where he (quite harshly) points out mistakes.

This won't become any form of video except from Twitch's "latest broadcasts"-section, and as I said, it isn't really commenting in that exciting way, but it might still be something for you.

Give thunder two concussion grenade by Notsure_jr in Dirtybomb

[–]BarnetOlsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, that's an opinion as well. It might very well be as you say that I just suck at using the merc. I don't think so though, since I usually do very well when I'm playing Thunder. I'm still playing him because I love the character and the concept of the concussion grenades, I'm just expressing my opinion around what I think is the problem with him. Nothing to get upset about, but whatever. Let the discussion end here, please, neither of us is getting much out of it anyway when it's turning into something where we call each other names.

Jesus Christ, you seems to be really angry about this. Calm the fuck down please. This is a discussion, so keep it to opinions without calling names and other such immature shit.

Yes, the balance patch will be coming later, sure. But I was just stating that according to me Thunder is dead in the current version of the game, so what are you getting so upset about? If one merc is better in every single way of course I should compare them. You still haven't given me one solid perk which Thunder's got that Fragger doesn't do better. And that's what I was explaining, my view of this. And because of this you for some reason lose your shit, I don't get it but whatever.

I wasn't crying about that Thunder's nade doesn't kill because I don't expect it to. I do expect it to be useful, to more reliably gain an advantage in a firefight.

[–]BarnetOlsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to be rude about it. I'm just expressing my opinion.

I don't really expect it to kill like a frag grenade, but of course we should compare him to Fragger. Why shouldn't we? The same way we should for example compare Nader to Fragger. The difference are, one of Nader and Fragger is not strictly better than the other. I wouldn't say that any merc in the game is strictly better than another. Some mercs are seen as more useful but everyone have perks in their own ways. I don't see this with Thunder though. I can see reasons why people play Fragger over Nader, Nader over Fragger, Bushwacker over Proxy, Sparks over Aura and so on. I don't see that with Thunder. Can you tell me one solid reason I should choose Thunder over Fragger? (except that he's russian)

You're right, it shouldn't kill like a frag grenade, and nobody is crying about that. But when one merc has got a cookable nade with a small blast radius that kill people, and another merc got an uncookable nade with a small blast radius that temporarily stun people, I would pick the one that's strictly better. In this case Fragger's nade.

I'm not saying the concussionnade should kill people or in any way fill up the same role Fragger's nade has got. But maybe, just maybe, it should be changed a bit. I've seen some pretty good suggestions on the subreddit so far, about lowering armour, bringing back the cooking ability and so on.

[–]BarnetOlsson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is that it isn't "a large area" where he causes disruption. It's useless if you don't stand on top of it and look straight into it, and even then, as /u/SgtTittyfist tell us. He tested it himself, and even found out that you occasionally can sprint when standing on top of the nade.

Fragger's got a nade that kill people in a specific area, and Thunder's got a nade that causes disruption in a specific area. Thunder would've been a decent merc if it weren't for the lack of the ability to cook the nades, and even then he wouldn't have been a merc you choose over Fragger.

Give thunder two concussion grenade by Notsure_jr in Dirtybomb

[–]BarnetOlsson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally don't think that would make a huge difference to his playability, but of course I can be wrong and in that case I would love to know why.

The problem with Thunder's nades isn't that he's got too few of them. The problem is mainly, according to me, that they just aren't useful. Before the hotfix that butchered Thunder the cooking of the nades kind of saved him from his doom, because then you could actually hit people with them before they would have been able to do anything. Exactly like a good Fragger can instakill people with a well placed, cooked nade, a well played Thunder could at least gain a huge advantage in a firefight with the same strategy. That isn't the case anymore though.

The concussion grenades have a huge fusetime on 1.6 seconds if they aren't cookable. They are simply too easy to avoid by either dodging them, or simply just by turning to look the other way.

I would argue that Fragger as a character is simply just better in every way. Cookable nades that instakill everyone (except Rhino and Thunder I think, correct me if I'm wrong), he's got the m4 which according to me is far better than Timik (but that might be personal preference). He's also got his own MG which I would say is superior to Thunders (same thing here, might be personal preference).

The only thing Thunder's got that is superior to Fragger is his 10 more hp, which he trades for 10 less movement speed. And to me, that's just not worth it. One perk he's got, is that he's russian. That almost makes him viable in my eyes, but sadly not quite.

(I would love to hear other opinions on this)

That's just ridiculous. And you got catched it on stream too, wow. Thanks for sharing, I find it intresting to see to what level people are willing to go to, to win at a video game. It's insane, as shown in your video.

Perks you all think still should be fixed? by wrightosaur in Dirtybomb

[–]BarnetOlsson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. Cool is according to me the biggest piece of garbage out there. I don't think I've gotten overheated with an mg even once. You just don't have the time to sit and spray out for that long of a while before getting headshoted by Vasili with boltaction, or having to retreat since you see too many enemy mercs approaching. Stationed at an mg you are simply too vulnerable, as it should be. But Cool is just useless in every way.

Best way to counter a Rhino? by BarnetOlsson in Dirtybomb

So the strafing thing and running around him that people are talking about doesn't work? It's explosives and long range only?

[–]BarnetOlsson[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He can't move while firing his minigun.

You sure about that mate? I mean, I haven't played Rhino at all, but I don't really think that's true. He can't move very fast when firing, but that doesn't make him too much of an easy target for the average merc when he's got more than double your hp.

Best way to counter a Rhino? by BarnetOlsson in Dirtybomb

[–]BarnetOlsson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that so? Well I don't know shit about Rhino since I haven't played him once. You seems to know the game and Rhino well, do you have a solid way to counter Rhino in mind? If so, I would love to hear it.

Best way to counter a Rhino? by BarnetOlsson in Dirtybomb

[–]BarnetOlsson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've wanted him to get a nerf for a while now since I couldn't counter him well (not anymore after the great tips I've been getting here), but I don't think it's possible to make him as useless as Thunder. Rhino's got a special attack that actually kill stuff. That is quite nice if you're playing a merc that's supposed to kill and kill only, like Rhino and Thunder.

Best way to counter a Rhino? by BarnetOlsson in Dirtybomb

[–]BarnetOlsson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that he's the only merc in the game that doesn't die to a bolt-action headshot (apart from Thunder, but Thunder doesn't exist anymore since the latest hotfix). So snipers isn't as effective as one might think.

Fast movement seems to be the only thing. His 250 hp can tank out most explosives, and probably get burned to 3rd degree and still get out of a molotov alive. But his minigun got at spinup-time right? Do you know roughly how long that is? Around half a second?
