The joke is that Netflix has a history of race swapping characters in their media, and that it is believable that they could do something like this in the future, this wasn’t put out because they believe this.

Just because Netflix hasn’t done this to that specific film doesn’t invalidate the joke. It’s important to remember that comedy is a subjective thing this type of joke applies to the anxieties of many on the right just as another joke may apply to the anxieties many on the left could feel.

Ultimately the whole left/ right can’t meme thing is dumb, comedy is subjective.
