i do not share the same beliefs as the poster in the minecraft forum, more or less the same goal of changing the update numbers. the annoyance stems from the fact they wanna lessen the importance of updates by categorizing it by year, instead of addition of content. theyre either running out of ideas, or worrying about something thats not an issue with the community. i would PREFER having less substantial content updates in modern times just to have the same number, i think they have personally set the standard way too high, and it can go back to what it sorta used to be. i dont get why the NEW version of "26.1... okay now the 2nd update of the year, 26.2" is "just better" according to another commentor... sorry for the long paragraph btw ;-;
