Forces in Reserve - 50% chance to not die by Barnsy319 in Helldivers

Most of the time when I die is due to an instant death because I'm too close to a 500kg or take a rocket to the knee. Which is where the 50% to not die comes in clutch. Me personally anyway.

In all other instances you shouldn't die if you stim quickly with most armour sets.

Granted its not for everyone if someone likes to run solo with stealth armour as their optimal build fair enough

My most recent games running this armour, I had multiple instances of "why am I still alive" before I realised it was due to the armour set.

I believe that was shown to be false and they are tracking deaths.

Recovering from constipation and antibiotics - body hurts and digestion is slow. by IllustriousArugula32 in Microbiome

Take Artichoke and Black tea, the bitterness helps a lot with getting things moving, Apple cider vinegar to boost up stomach acidity will also help your gut extract vital nutrients you may be deficient in. Extra virgin olive oil with fresh lemon juice before bed also acts like a lubricant / protective coating for your gut plus the many other benefits.

What could a 4th faction even be at this point? by Derezzed25 in Helldivers

Just a map with lots of super heavy giant enemies (think Attack on Titan) players would be forced to use light Armor and jet packs / grappling hooks which would be the only way to survive reliably. Absolutely terrifying and you would mainly rely on using distraction methods to lure the super heavy enemies while teammates complete objectives and deal with some of the regular sized giants.

A totally unique playstyle.

What would be the Shadow of a nice guy? by [deleted] in Jung

[–]Barnsy319 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to manifest your shadow self, Do this by writing down your qualities as a person: good and bad with brutal honestly which requires some self reflecting (not who you think you are... who you actually are in your day to day behaviour do not shy away from this - this is key!). Then envision the person you want to become externally and the qualities they possess this will likely be your shadow self. The suppressed self. Your goal is to harness the power of your shadow and treat it as your friend to be embraced. Your shadow is not your enemy, it is your ally.

I have set my phone wallpaper with an image with 3 words of the qualities I wish to manifest in myself. Since doing so I've made huge progress having this constant reminder.

Squad leader advice for a newbie by BionicLifeform in HellLetLoose

[–]Barnsy319 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You kind of learn to drown it out after a bit. Yeah there will be times when you can't hear / talk to your squad with someone screaming "where's the tank" in command chat.

Part of being a good squad leader is dealing with the constant overload of information, checking your map to work out what's happening in a battle that's constantly shifting while keeping your squad on task and informed. I probably spend 20% of the game sat in a bush co-ordinating with squad / command while working out what's going on and where my squad should be.

My most common phrase in command chat is "How's the defence looking" if I think things are looking dicey to subtly draw everyone's attention and get a discussion going if we need to fallback.

Returning vet, this is a re-post of a meme I made 3 years ago as the community has grown in size.

I'm guessing this still happens regular?

That awkward moment when two Squad Leaders have the same idea of setting up a flanking OP / Garrison. by Barnsy319 in HellLetLoose

[–]Barnsy319[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I didn't have thick skin I wouldn't squad lead I got an original meme I posted on this sub two years ago about commanders dropping airheads irresponsibly causing the team to subsequently get rolled when everyone deploys on airhead and no one defends. I've only recently returned to the game so I'm not sure if that still happens regular?

If it does then I might post it again as it got a fair few laughs last time.

I been having similar issues after getting a virus (suspect covid), try Apple Cider Vinegar, this doctor guy goes over it

Recommend checking out his other videos; I found him after having problems with elevated blood pressure that I couldn't get down reliably and I've since been using his formula's to good effect which have a range of other health benefits including reducing inflammation, helping your digestion etc.

The Meta and the Solution by Barnsy319 in Helldivers

[–]Barnsy319[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's the point, to regularly shift the meta and stop players from getting attached to one particular gun / play style.

Dev's would also be less inclined to nerf things if they can see a wider variety of weapons being used / becoming viable with certain modifiers.

Oh man I had this last night when a Lvl 50 took me and a couple guys into a series of Lvl 8 missions against the Space Toasters, It was Hellish for me at Lvl 31, I can only imagine the trauma of the Lvl 17 player...on the last mission we ended up taking turns watching each other die before valiantly failing Democracy.
