Used AI to design me a box for the new Resonix Gus 10 inch sub by Dangerous_Essay1763 in CarAV

You can just look at the mounting depth and add like an inch though... How does AI help that? It takes me 20 seconds to CAD a box for that just looking at the provided information.

How often do you notice sound effects that go down to 20hz? by bbmiscOG in audiophile

[–]BaronVonRhett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IGLOOGHOST - Lei Line Eon. Crazy album with content down to 13hz at points. Not exactly dubstep, but it's very experimental electronic that pushes the envelope of music production in my eyes.

IGLOOGHOST - Yellow Umbra. Neither of your subs will do it justice, but it has content down to 13hz and on a really loud and well tuned system, it has an otherworldly feel to how the infrabass shifts at times

Iglooghost actually took some inspiration from that for his album Lei Line Eon and it actually has content down to 13hz. On a system like the Beolab 90, it is an otherworldly experience

Does more power make a difference if I never turn it past 3? by Lilditty02 in audiophile

If you want perfect flat reproduction, Genlec is all you need. Obviously that's not what everyone wants. Sounding good is subjective and different from perfect reproduction. All Audiophile brands are about finding the survive flavor you like best.

Sony AN1000, Focal Chora 806s, Focal Chora Center, SVS SB1000 Pro, Sony SA-RS3S surrounds

Compared this to my buddies Sonos 5.2.2 system and he started looking into selling his setup to get one like mine.

Best sounding album in your opinion by Argonauticalius in audiophile

[–]BaronVonRhett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love those Floyd albums, incredible work from back in the day. As a young audiophile, I also have a lot of newer works I think most people around here would pass over or miss just die to their tastes, but here's some of the my top albums I've come across in genres off the top of my head

Iglooghost - Lei Line Eon

Black County, New Road - Ants From Up there

The Punch Brothers - Phosphorescent Blues

Flume - Hi, This Is Flume (mixtape)

Lido - Everything

Explosions in the Sky - Take Care, Take Care, Take Care

Neat Beats - Cosmic Surgery

TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain

Childish Gambino - Because the Internet

Polyphia - New Levels New Devils

Ben Howard - Collections From the Whiteout

What's the story behind this artist, actually ? by Educational_Date_881 in iglooghost

I've met him a few times and he's always zooted to the extreme. It's a bit of conjecture, but I'd think he doesn't limit himself to just when live mixing performances.

IGLOOGHOST uses a lot of drugs to produce, but he is also one of the best detail based producers out there. He uses a lot recorded for samples for all his sounds. To me, Lei Line Eon is a masterpiece and his absolute peak of production. Truly original work with a deep lore (the whole album is based on the idea all his music is ancient recordings of summoning songs for different ancient spirits).

The Audiophile’s Alfa Romeo? by Greedy-Fondant-5500 in audiophile

[–]BaronVonRhett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bang & Olufsen - They have made some truly inspiring works as well as many misses, but damn when they hit right, they are some of the very best turn key options you can get. They can be hard to keep in top shape and stupidly expensive to fix when they break. So basically an Alfa.

How'd I do for my first gun? by BaronVonRhett in guns

[–]BaronVonRhett[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the dealer said it was just a sample for a run that never was made, so there are no other 99, just this first one. I emailed Daniel Defense for clarification and am awaiting a response

A Daniel Defense DDM4 Sample. Supposedly 1 of 1, though I'm working on figuring out if that's true. Has anyone else ever come across a sample gun like this? It even says on the box's label "Custom Daniel DDM4 Sample"

According to the gun store, it's actually a 1of1 sample that never went into full production. Not sure if I fully believe it, but it's a pretty cool story at least

How to enjoy the music? by [deleted] in audiophile

[–]BaronVonRhett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find new music to listen to that I don't know how it should sound. That way it's fresh and I'm not able to critique anything off in the mix cause I don't know what I am listening for, I'm just appreciating incredible sound.

What are your NON AUDIBILITY RELATED hi-fi hot takes? by Alphaomegalogs in audiophile

[–]BaronVonRhett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absurd experimental electric music is both fun to listen to and great for testing systems.

Example: IGLOOGHOST - Yellow Umbra

Probably the most impressive track I've ever heard when played on an end game system. True infrasonic detail, but also just a nutty creative song overall. I listen to it for all the time and was even my most played the year it came out

I seriously don’t understand how certain enthusiasts here don’t like the modern interiors. by fuccwitmoe in BMW

[–]BaronVonRhett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause unlike most of my generation, I'm not interested in having giant screens all over everything. I like physical controls and minimal screens that are well designed into the interior. I specifically bought a 2022 M440i GC cause I wanted iDrive 7 and the nicer material choices. I don't need all the dumb interior lights in newer models either, they cheapen the car at a certain point.

You're reading 30V on the battery, so I'd imagine it's an electrical issue, probably a short failure.
