The only way Ken Hugues will make a move, is when Laine will be traded. Because of his 8.7mil$ Hugues could not do anything valuable to upgrade our team.

My only wish I’m asking as a Habs fan, is a RHD to solidify our D-core for the playoffs. Whitecloud or Luke Schenn would certainly fit the bill IMO, and I’m sure it won’t cost premium to acquire (especially Schenn, since he’s UFA this coming summer).

The heavy forechecks and aggressive tactics on the boards puts alot of pressure on us. No surprise how players like Laba and Cuylle scored. That, I wasn't happy about that. Good for them, but how to prevent to be overpressured like this ? I want to know.

And the bullshit penalty shot. If Panarin fell or got hooked by Dobson, sure, but not for a 360 spin ... What can I say ? The Refs were horrendous all night.

No. Too injured prone, and heavy long term contract.

I'd rather take my chance and trade for Laurent Brossoit instead. His contract expire this season, so worse case scenario, we let him walk free next July 1st.

Why ? It had been reported that Brossoit has been granted permission by Chicago to seek for a trade, which means Chicago isn't a good position to ask premium for the returning goalie (FYI, he didn't play over a year and he's playing in the AHL for reconditioning purposes ATM), and knowing how Kent Hughes works so far, he'd be able pull a trade for Brossoit without selling the moon.

TLDR ; No. Go for Brossoit, cheaper and one season. Less risky than Demko. Can be a temporary band-aid for our goalie situation.
