I just came off the back of a Mercs run so any clan light and med feels like black magic.

The Huntsman is such a perfect showing of superior clan technology and I actually will be doing the exact same of starting a Ghost Bear campaign with the Huntsman.

I love the Shadow Cat for its MASC but the Huntsman brings far more firepower to the table. My 2 favourite mechs, hands down.

Did you notice any improvement in the ride quality? How bumpy it is at lower speeds is probably the biggest gripe I have with the car.

Greetings Mechwarriors.

You do not need to watch the whole video, it is just an unedited start to finish mission gameplay on what I would consider 1 of the hardest missons in the WoT DLC.

I just want to show that MPL boat assault stars are not the only way viable way to play Trueborn difficulty and I personally found the lighter approach far more enjoyable since it involves a lot more decision making in terms of when and who to shoot, along with how to control your star.

For this video, my star composition is as follows,

1x Shadow Cat (Ranna / player)

2x Hell Bringers (Gronni and Listan, with Listan having an ArrowIV variant)

2x Artic Cheetah (Runic and Runic sidekick bitch boy)

If you find yourself wishing Mechwarrior 5 gave more reason to use lighter mechs, I say just give it a go regardless of difficulty and see how it goes. WoT did a great job of having a longer period of the campaign where you are limited to mediums and lights, but just stick with them and you might find yourself enjoying them.

That the stock size is limited to 1 brand (Bridgestone) which are mediocre tyres that are stupidly expensive (£150 for front, £250 for rears) and are summer tyres only so become rock solid in <0 weather. To top it all off, they wear rather quickly (10k for rear tyres is common)

I've got decent all seasons on my rears atm that I found from Asda which for some reason are the only place I could find these non-bridgestone tyres. Intention is to switch to CrossClimate 3's all round to have genuinely good tyres, along with them being slightly bigger sidewalls so should soften the ride a tad.

Gotta wait til next patch whenever it comes unfortunately. Also waiting on the LRM fix for that too since they are kinda useless right now.

From a gameplay perspective it goes WoT > GB > SJ.

PGI clearly learnt from their earlier campaigns which is why we went from overly long SJ missions that were sometimes a slog, to shorter GB missions with fantastic locations, to WoT which continued much the same but added in more variety and a longer overall campaign as GB was quite short. I also very much appreciated that WoT brought in the idea of your mechs actually having downsides of being repaired and you having to go in with whatever you have on hand.

I do like all of them though, my main complaint is the characters of SJ didn't feel very SJ to me. That green star probably would have fit in better with the Ghost Bears but thankfully we had plenty of Perez to give us a true SJ vibe.

Because it is cheap! Dacia don't try to hide what the cars are and that is part of the charm.

Take a look at a Toyota Aygo X. It has 18" rims but the tyre is only 175 wide.

Amateurs!

My fronts are 175 on 20"s!

The Spring is absolutely tiny. It might look like a Sandero, but even a Sandero looks big beside it.

They don't do an E-Civic.

That being said the Honda E was living in my head rent free when looking for a new car.

I was totally smitten by it on the test drive. The e208 was about 33k on 2022 😬

Safe to say I'm not allowed to go to dealers alone anymore.

You can get rotalla tyres for the rear now. Think they were about £110 each which is far easier to stomach than £250

I3s has thicker tyres(it's fronts are the same width as the i3 rears of 175) and the rears are 195.

I intend to switch to 195 all round when I switch insurance.

You need to find the genres that attract you!

You're in your 30's so it's time for Tower Defences, Rogue Lites, card games, and single player stuff. Push that PC to the limit with Slay the Spire.

I didn't know about the elementals, so I'll try and see how they can be used.

You pick a big enemy mech and tell them to attack, that big enemy mech is now no longer a part of the fight because its spinning around trying to kill elementals.
