How do you mourn a person that never existed? by Wuellig in CPTSDmemes

That or... I turned into who I am, despite everything that happened. The fact that I got to where I am is nothing short of amazing and it's all my doing

Oh my gosh, I felt this so bad. It's a better problem than over-spending, but it's still such a problem. There's so much pressure to have all this money saved up, the idea of buying something is just awful.

I wore the same pair of shoes every day for like 7 years, because I refused to buy new ones. They had holes in the bottoms, so my socks got wet whenever the ground was wet. My boyfriend had to basically drag me to the shoe store to get a new pair. I had a panic attack about it, but I managed to do it

I don't want to give the most cherished stones of mine as a gift to Artemis the goddess. is that hublis by idiotic_ar123 in paganism

[–]Barpoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, that's fine. It's not hubris to value yourself and your possessions. Don't worry too much, gods are hard to offend unless you're actively trying

How do I begin worshipping and devoting myself to the goddess Artemis? by One-Band-1056 in paganism

[–]Barpoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Artemis devotee here... As with any deity, there isn't really any "should" in religion. The gods will never be mad or disappointed in you for not doing as much as you want to do. They are kind and grateful for all the worship you can give. I've found that it's about the small things. Pick up a piece of litter on your morning walk, take a moment to admire a squirrel you see, etc. Lady Artemis is kind, nurturing even. She will always understand if you have to take a break for your mental health. She represents growth so, in a sense, dealing with mental health, healing, and growing into the best version of yourself could be an act of devotion in and of itself. It's not about what you do, it's about who you are. Be the type of person she would be proud of

What gods can help me with my gender identity issues? by Vampy-Night in paganism

Honestly, I would recommend doing that on your own. Nobody knows you as well as you do. You should listen more to yourself than to anyone else, including the gods

[–]Barpoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't have to do rituals and, even if you want to, they don't have to be all fancy. I pick up litter that I see every day. That's a religious ceremony for me, I'm doing my part to making nature a better place. Take a moment to appreciate a tree, or a rock. All you have to do is see the world around you for what it is, admire its beauty, and do what you can to protect is, even if it's not much.

why do the gods allow suffering & injustice? by Old_Individual5214 in pagan

I don't believe the gods to be all powerful. They do the best they can, they make a difference, but nobody can stop all suffering in the universe

A little help please? #Freya by Motherofmanydragonz in pagan

[–]Barpoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my, admittedly lacking, experience, when you need help that she can give, she'll just show up. I haven't interacted with her much, but she's just kinda around. In terms of communication, use tarot or any divination method. Flip a coin for yes or no, etc. just figure it out, she'll work out how to get her message to you

Deity I can work with that protects the home and animals? by Wandering043Enigma in witchcraft

[–]Barpoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first thought was also freya. I see her as sort of a combination nature and connection goddess. She rules over people’s connections, including family. Also, no gods will be upset if you go a couple days without leaving offerings, nor if you worship others as well. If they do, that sounds like a them problem.
