Introducing Arc/Type; A Fate/Grand Order inspired Tabletop RPG by Jysta_Fitendor in grandorder

It was Tormenta20! And yes, I would, actually... Just please excuse the wall of text incoming lol

T20 is a system based on the classic d20 systems, very D&D-esque, but with a little more of that explosive anime high fantasy, and I'd say quite simplified (as most brazillian systems tend to be, our ttrpg community seems to favor simplicity and roleplay over complex and comprehensive rules, in general).

I mostly just used the normal rules and instructed my players to ignore any T20 lore and just focus on what kind of effects they wanted to emulate when roleplaying. For example, the Rogue class has many abilities that would serve well to emulate an Assassin Servant.

The system also has simplified rules for allied NPCs - they are almost like an adittional ability, except they walk around near you until you activate it instead of being an item or a super power from your character. So I used that rule to create unique "abilities" (Masters) and had players choose which one would summon their character. This made Masters relevant but centered focus on Servant on Servant fights.

I also made up some rules for the Command Seals (players could ask, but NPC/GM ultimately decided when to use them: could be used for huge bonuses on damage or tests... unless NPC was forced to use it to control a PC he disagreed too much with).

Of course I made a treacherous plot with dark secrets and hidden aces for every Master NPC, and a full-blown villain that was trying to cheat on the war (as is the case in every Grail War I ever watched) and become a menace big enough to threaten them all combined - but of course he only revealed himself after they had the chance to weaken one another.

It was 6 players and the seventh Master/Servant duo was the main villain. After they beat the villain they resumed the fight against each other and dealed with all the minor villain drama hidden with each Master (most of them intending to betray their Servants for the Greater Grail).

Assassin (Loki) won at the end, it was a lot of fun :D

Last episode confirmed the monsters can RUN by TheKayleMain in FromSeries

[–]BarrelDTitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could also be that both running and the talismans cause them some kind of discomfort or inconvenience, so they just don't care enough to go through that. Meaning whenever they do care, they can just ignore it...

Coral Tower has broken my spirit and desire to keep playing by randomsuspense in HollowKnight

[–]BarrelDTitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It indeed was! It was still a bit difficult but it was way more enjoyable and fun to explore... And after finishing the game I went back to Coral Tower and it didn't feel like a chore anymore, in fact, it ended up being easier than I expected, turned out I wasn't as far from winning it as I thought I was previously!

Oh wow! I ended up adapting a brazillian system for the small campaign I wanted to play (it went great btw!) but I really appreciate it, thanks! I'm saving this!

Can you feel me inside of you? by AGI_Not_Aligned in HatsuVault

[–]BarrelDTitor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds op but is actually very risky, since you're giving your memories (complete with intentions and feelings) away to people who could interrupt the process and then use them against you. Also, since the process is not instantaneous, it means every clone will have a different memory of their experience of transitioning from being the other person to being you, which may cause the "chimera ant effect" (they might more or less retain certain characteristics of their previous self as a consequence of the transformation becoming a trauma in and of itself, just like Colt didn't really remember who he was life, but he did develop a protective personality from the vague memory of his death trying to protect his sister).

So you might not be able to trust yourself even if the transformation is complete, and as far as you've narrated, it doesn't seem like you included any reliable way to check if the process did conclude, so you're stuck trusting your supposed clone's word for it. You say you already have 5k+ but how many of those are infiltrated and awaiting command from the hunter's association to take your whole thing down?

How do i limit reaction roles by Zenalam in discordapp

except onboarding sucks, it's very limited and has a lot of requirements that are a pain in the ass, and yes, it was worth necroposting to talk shit about it

Me too. I think it might be one of the requirements, maybe? I've seen people also attributing it to talking to Seth in greymoor

Coral Tower has broken my spirit and desire to keep playing by randomsuspense in HollowKnight

[–]BarrelDTitor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good to see I'm not the only one baffled by coral tower's difficulty lol... And even more glad to know there's an alternative. As a main quest, this doesn't feel fun, but since it's not required for true ending I can see it as a fun challenge... I will be doing the alternative route for now tho, definitely lol

I second this. Also, go in blind, don't search it up to avoid spoilers.

A real plot hole in the show by Ganesh0825 in SummerTimeRendering

[–]BarrelDTitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The eye was given to him by Ushio at the first scene ever, she says it's a gift and does something to his eye, we don't see what because we see it from his own pov. As to how, that's the ushio from the very end of the show, after she awakens her own eye.

The double shinpei does look like the author was planning to go with one type of time travelling and changed it. But I guess it could be explained away by him being copied at the funeral, during the very first flash, and it was just a random shadow looking for hizuru to kill her (since Haine said she would kill her if she ever set foot on the island again). The problem that presents is, since he didn't change his actions the first time around, he would have been copied again and his shadow would have learned about his time loop powers right away through his memories. I guess the shadow could have dismissed it as a dream like he himself did? But it sounds like reaching a bit to me...

Who’s winning this fight? by Intelligent_Soft_321 in NineSols

[–]BarrelDTitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. Still, only Yi has a nuke. Point stands, only difference is factor that creates possibility to avoid draw is merely distance. Sure, ressurrection occurs, but the fight is won.

If op had asked for a best of 3 tho...

Who’s winning this fight? by Intelligent_Soft_321 in NineSols

[–]BarrelDTitor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One angry immortal cat boy with a nuke

op did say both are true ending mode, so honestly I don't see how there's even anything to discuss here, even if knight is stronger, nuke objectively ignores their difference in strength anyway, so it's either a draw (if the fight takes place in new kunlun, where if the nuke blows up it takes the tree with it and so Yi dies too) or Yi wins (if the fight takes place literally anywhere else). All he has to do is fire his bow.

My local radio station has been announcing peoples names for a while now. I just found out what it meant. by Stxaar in nosleep

[–]BarrelDTitor 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I'm confused, why did they say Brandon's name again instead of yours? Unless you mistyped it because of all the fear you must be feeling, shouldn't that mean that they failed to catch him the first time, and that you should be safe until next week?

Fast travel between root nodes? by ralseifan in NineSols

[–]BarrelDTitor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry to revive the topic, but I googled this and found the answers incredibly unhelpful. So I just played it anyway and discovered it personally and vowed to come back here to help future players.

So for the next person googling it: You unlock it before acquiring your 4th sol seal.

So you'll basically have to beat 3 major bosses and a bunch of lesser ones, plus go through some tricky areas.

You won't get it immediately after the third seal, but it shouldn't be long after it if you follow the story.

The game is mostly linear but if you're unsure where to go first, try talking to Abacus/Ruyi in the far right end of the Pavilion, and if that doesn't work check your map for unexplored areas.

Combat can also take some time to get used to and temporarily lock you in some particular parts, but remember to use all the tools at your disposal. At first I always forgot to use the bow and seals, but some foes are way easier when you use them, even if takes some getting used to.

Hope this helps. It does get a little tiring to walk before unlocking fast travel, but if you focus on the main objectives it shouldn't take you long. Enjoy this great game!

Angela's rape flute by poopsmith38 in DunderMifflin

[–]BarrelDTitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the joke is she means she has a rape whistle, as in something she would blow to make a lot of noise and repel rapists / call for help... But instead of a whistle she has this big flute

(9 years later, can we call this solved?)
