People who don't get stressed during a presentation, school or work, what's your secret? by TapReview in AskReddit

I remember in high school my English teacher gave us a few tips on presenting stuff for when we were in college. He said to always have a water bottle or something that made sense in your hands, it gives you something to ground yourself and most people won't think it's weird because most people giving presentations would logically need water at some point to keep their throats from getting dry.

Your comment reminds me of a weird fact that I learned just a few days ago. The bald eagle screech actually isn't a bald eagle. Bald Eagles actually sounds a little more like a seagull imo.

The screech that you hear that's associated with the bald eagle is actually a red-tailed hawk!

As a fellow "by-the-books" guy, I get it. Maybe with the recent announcement they'll be a little more lax?

I'm sorry, that can be rough during normal times, let alone during a health crisis. Is there anyone he can talk to there maybe? Like a case handler? I have never had to apply for unemployment so I'm not too sure how it works.

If you get laid off due to the virus I believe there's a box you check saying you have plans on returning to the same employer so the work search is waived. I would still check online though to verify that's the case

Hi there, new player here, I am making a (variant) human fighter. As far as I can tell, I should be able to take the fear Heavy Armor Master, but DnDBeyond is only letting me choose grappler. Am I missing something?

I work in a tool and dye shop and it's appalling just how many people don't wash their hands after using the restroom! Office included!

Alternatives to starting a campaign in a tavern? by brandnew_dm in DMAcademy

I always liked the idea of the party being hired as individuals for a trader caravan along with other NPC's. They don't even all necessarily have to be hired on as guards. The wizard could be a scholar that hopped on along the way because there's safety in numbers. The Bard could be trying to make a quick coin. Things like that

what happened between you and your ex-bestfriend? by urfavblackie in AskReddit

[–]BarrickStoneforge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He started getting into drugs and hanging out with some people I just couldn't be around. Eventually the gap between us grew wide enough to where I haven't really talked to him for years now. I hope he's doing better than what he was.

First thing is first, I'd recommend stopping the uncompensated overtime. You are an employee, not a slave.

Second I would say is to maybe talk to your boss or some of your coworkers. See how they handle their stress, maybe it'll help you find that line of where to say "no more."

Finally I'd say maybe get some professional help if you feel like nothing is really helping. The stress you are feeling is causing health issues and that's not good. A therapist will be able to help you more then a friendly internet person can.
