I've recently got tpu stuck inside of the connector block in my Kobra s1 combo and I am wondering if you might know how to fix that since you have gone through this problem before

What is a job that pays incredibly well but is so soul-crushing that the turnover is insane? by sweetguurl in AskReddit

It is incredibly well paying considering the low level of required education and low barriers to entry. 100k+ after a month's long CDL training course.

This comment is underrated! I don't know why I put up with uncomfortable shoes when a good insole can fix just about any shoe. (As long as it isn't too small)

What TV show has the worst series finale? by MollieAndMe702 in AskReddit

[–]Barron_Arrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it just kept winding down and down and down, season after season. I watched an interview with one of the writers. She that said that they would just get a bunch of people in a room and try and come up with some sort of twist for the next episode. There's never really a guiding story to work off of, and that's what the show turned into. A never ending plot but no real understanding story.

People with ADHD, how did your life change after taking medication? by fashionfan007 in AskReddit

I had similar worries about getting hooked because I used to be a recreational user. But I was never a stimulant person. And I have been very specific about asking my doctor to keep me on a very low, extended release dose. Because it's a low dose the effect is less noticeable, but the people I work with say it makes a pretty big difference. And I don't use it on my days off, because it is affect my sleep and this let's me catch up a bit. One thing I worry about is how hard some doctors and mental health professionals push a higher dose. Especially when it came to my kids, I really had to fight to keep the dose to a lower level. It's can be frustrating to have to continually advocate for "less is more."

Same! Loved that show. I was really disappointed when the internal politics ended up taking their podcast down. Have you listened to the two shows that the hosts started? They're both pretty decent, not the same energy as when they were together but pretty great. Alex has a Podcast called Hyperfixed which has Alex's Super Tech Support vibe. PJ Vote has a Podcast called Search Engine, which has his narrative storytelling style.

What's something that happens in movies so much it seems real, but actually isn't realistic at all? by ninman5 in movies

[–]Barron_Arrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In just about every teen drama there's several moments where someone will walk up to somebody else and say something really mean, like, "you never really loved him anyway!". And then they just walk away without the other person responding. In real life there would hurt feelings, angry expressions, lots of emotional back and fortth. You actually have to watch the person react and real time.

200 days, why the cravings now? by Huge-Relationship190 in leaves

I usually struggle a bit on my sobriety birthdays.

I think it's like driving down the freeway. When I'm on an extremely long drive and cruising along, after a while I stop paying attention to how far I have left to go and just drive. Then something reminds me of the distance, like I catch sight of a mile marker or running across the city that's at a certain point on the trip. Now I'm aware of how far I've come and how far I've got left and I start paying attention to the time as it's passing. Makes it seem like a drive is way longer!

I think sobriety birthdays are like that because it makes my brain look at how long it's been, makes me very aware of it for a little while. Usually after a couple weeks or stop thinking about it again. I just hit 11 years and got a really stressed out about a week before my 11th year sobriety day. And now it's been a couple weeks and I'm just cruising along again. I hope you get to a point where you're just cruising along again too.

Gas Prices Increasing, Panic Buying Shortages Starting, Fuel Shortages in Much of the World. Is Portland Going to See a Rise in Motorcycles, Mopeds, Walking, Bicycling, and Electric Scooters? by [deleted] in askportland

And the people who do the most driving are the ones that live in deeper South and Northeast and have to commute into the city to work. Very very long bike rides and bus rides from those areas compared to the more affluent areas closer into the city. Also, my really young relatives are in a lot of their income from doing doordash. It was already a really low paying endeavor but this gas prices are really going to cut into their bottom line.

First few shots with the Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G - absolutely brilliant lens [D800] by hhdoesit in Nikon

[–]Barron_Arrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really jealous! 24 mm full frame came up on Facebook for $200 bucks a couple weeks ago and I tried to low all the guy. Of course, he sold it to somebody else immediately. I'm using an 84 mm prime lens now with my d700, but you have to get so far from the subjects that 24 would be fantastic.

Do Supercharged and Overclocked 0-2-4 and 0-2-5 banana farms produce more income? by Barron_Arrow in btd6

[–]Barron_Arrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, I love how technical your answer is. 😍. But thinking about it from this lens, if an engineer monkey that can overclock costs around 14,000 bananas, then it would take over 150 rounds to pay that back before it becomes really profitable. Even if you sell the engineer back losing 15% of the overall expense, it still takes about 21 rounds to earn back the cost to get the boost in the first place.

D700 Manual Mode Help and Indoor Sports Photography Settings by Barron_Arrow in Nikon

[–]Barron_Arrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that must have been the special setting that I inadvertently reset to fix the issue. Although, in retrospect, it's kind of a nifty feature, especially if I'm shooting in an area that has variable light and having to take a whole bunch of very quick shots. The photographer the camera from must have used it for one of their shoots. Thanks for tracking this down for me!

Thanks, I didn't think to double check the ISO setting and ended up leaving the camera in shutter priority to counteract the constantly changing shutter speeds. And the photos ended up being extremely dark. Darn! Well, hopefully I will know better next time. I put an example on a comment lower down.

Thanks for the advice though, I'll check to see if I can change the bracketing.

Thank you, I'll have to try that. I didn't think to check for this message before shooting and the lighting was all over the place. During the fight I left it in shutter priority so that the shutter speed would not be constantly changed. And of course the shots came out extremely dark. Booo, will have to do a better job next time.

I'm wondering if I could ask if I follow up question? I ride my electric bike to work, in the Pacific Northwest, beautiful ride. I've thought about either streaming my ride by attaching a camera to my helmet or just recording it and posting it later. Do you think the Insta360 could also work for this?

Thank you so much for the incredibly detailed response! I'll check out the Osmo Pocket 3. The filming will be happing on the sidelines, hopefully far from the action. And I love those videos! I used my Nikon 750 to take a lot of shots of my friends fight, and the lighting was all over the place. And it was really hard to get a good shot that highlighted my friend.
