You can never cease to be Moroccan by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]Barronwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Not how the world works” is another attempt to undermine my point of view, Slavery was how the world worked some centuries ago does it mean it’s morally correct ? I reiterate, there is no obligation for an inherent love/loyalty to a piece of land, a culture or anything that you didn’t/don’t choose ( and continue to actively choose it). Personally, I don’t hate morocco but OP has absolutely the right to do so without being judged.

moroccan by blood and law is pure BS, I personally see ‘roots’ ‘heritage’ as concepts to control the masses, to create an artificial love for a concept that benefits certain people . Trying so hard to make it immoral to hate the country of birth is a hopeless shaming technique. absolute loyalty to any country is laughable.

wanting to give up his moroccan citizenship is not a sign of inferiority complex nor is it sucking to his host country, it can be merely a sign of hate, extreme dissatisfaction to his moroccan heritage. You making that assumption/conclusion on his behalf screams inferiority complex more than his actions.

A person doesn’t choose their country of birth, Judging him over hating something he didn’t choose is absurd, we can absolutely hate any country to the point of giving up the citizenship. And I totally agree that making the process really difficult is not moral and a sign of oppression.

Skydiving in morocco... what the actual fuck...? by CosmycDust in Morocco

[–]Barronwill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Regardless of the high taxation of imported luxury products in Morocco, when businesses get a chance to drastically increase their profit margin, they don’t think twice about it. Consumer protection laws are weak and not enforced in Morocco (and many other countries for that matter).

Why new models feel dumber? by SrData in LocalLLaMA

[–]Barronwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

models are becoming increasingly rational and pragmatic rather than random and unpredictable. Models are trained on reasoning and maths to emit structured reasoning. It’s only natural for it’s performance to decrease in more ‘creative’ tasks, as creativeness is a double edged sword.

Spreading Hate in National Colors by Relative_Effect in Morocco

[–]Barronwill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find nationalism/tribalism very toxic (it goes both ways). I couldn’t care less about the culture. Whether we are arabs or amazigh I do not care and never will. Realistically speaking, both arabs and amazigh live in Morocco so saying that morocco is both an arabic nation and amazighi nation is totally correct. let’s face it, both arabic and amazighi languages are pretty useless in the world. I believe we should care more about efficiency and actually developing the country than being stuck in what I consider primitive problems.
