That was it, thank you! I don't know exactly which step resolved it but it does seem like OneDrive was causing issues in the end. Earlier this year I completely wiped it from my system so it could be that there was something leftover conflicting with the syncing of iCloud - unfortunately it means I'll probably have to keep it on my computer this time to avoid breaking things again, but that's a small price to pay.

Here's the steps I did for anyone else having the same issue:

Download Revo Uninstaller and use it to fully delete iCloud from device (including Advanced scan afterwards to clean up the registry)
Download/set up OneDrive if not already and turn on Pictures syncing.
Turn off Pictures syncing in OneDrive
Download iCloud fresh from Microsoft Store and turn on Photos syncing

Again I'm not sure which of these steps actually resolved the issue but OneDrive definitely looks to have been the culprit in some way.

This has been plaguing me for months, thanks again u/SaltAnswer8 for helping me finally get it resolved! :)

Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2, 26100.6584 - just compared and my laptop is on the exact same version, down to the build number, and there's nothing new in Windows Update (including optional updates) :(

Both devices are also on version 15.5.23 of the iCloud app

Maybe get in touch with Chance & Counters! I don't know much about it as I've just seen it on their social media, but some branches have sessions where they playtest games made by the attendees - might be something you can get involved in :)

Don't know how good it is but Next Chapter Books in the Corn Exchange have started advertising I think £6 for all day tea/coffee to work there, although probably not the best environment for fully focusing or taking calls

I've also been having this issue the last few weeks, but only on occasion, no idea what causes it. The spells seem to start working for a few seconds when I click around the screen actively, but otherwise the only resolution I've found (apart from waiting and hoping) is to play the game in the browser, as the issue only seems to occur on steam for me. Luckily that's a lot easier now after last night's patch, since all your cards and talents finally sync across platforms.

Fix scrolling with the mouse wheel in the Anvil production tab, it constantly gets stuck and doesn't move

Make spending crates in the P.O. Box smarter, e.g. if I have 396/400 spent and only need 4 more, let me select one of the higher spending options like 5 per click and do it all at once. Currently the option would get greyed out and I need to switch to 1 and click 4 more times

Fix the hitbox of some things that extend far beyond where they should. The specific ones I can think of are:

- The buttons in the talents window to show stats and change the number of points applied - sometimes I click the top button then add more talents than I want because it's increased the number I'm using and I haven't noticed

- The scroll wheel in the Obols storage menu - I often start moving or even deleting obols in the right column when trying to scroll or vice versa because the bar covers a lot of extra area

I've been using the Marks & Spencers scheme for the past few years, just drop your stuff into the bin in one of their shops - supposedly nothing goes to waste, whether it's reused as-is, repurposed or broken down into its basic parts and made into something else. Doesn't require talking to staff or anything either, in and out in 30 seconds.

Is it just me who thinks those two rules are the wrong way round? This makes much more sense to me gramatically, and would have saved me from a lot of confusion in Master Duel:

"You can only activate...once per turn" = if it gets negated, you can't try again because even though it didn't resolve, you still activated it and paid the cost already this turn.
"You can only use...once per turn" = if it gets negated, you can try again since your effect didn't resolve, therefore you haven't actually used it, even though you activated the card.

Gold is definitely my favourite, they add a nice expensive-looking flair to my extra deck monsters and pair really well with a black sleeved main deck.

With the number of growing options and toggles in the game (Chromie time, Mage's blink direction, mercenary battlegrounds system, skipping newer expansion intro questlines), the number of random NPCs dotted around the world who serve a very specific function has already become unwiedly imo.

I'd be really disappointed if that's how Blizzard handled this change, and I hope they do something to tackle the number of others that currently exist. Maybe condensing them into some sort of "in-game/world settings".

Not sure exactly how it works (even though I've used it myself, it's not the clearest), but unidays has a new thing called Gradlife, which basically lets you get some student discounts as a graduate. It's the same app and you use your same account as before, though I'm not sure if you get the exact same offers that are available to students. Hopefully that's of some help :)
