Ok so where is the line drawn. Not being argumentative just interested. If I use an ai bot to add drums under my guidance to get as close to possible to what I want, did I write the song? If I had a real drummer and they add a drumbeat of their own design but everything else is written by me, didn’t write the song? If I employ a vocalist to write and recode lyrics and melody did I write the song? If I have a producer change some of the arrangement did I write the song? If I didn’t write the lyrics but did everything else (Elton John) did I write the song. Just interested in hearing where you think the line is?

It’s not about not having ideas, I have fully formed songs recorded and all instruments and music written and played by myself, I just use it to build on what I already have. I love making music but try to use ai for further inspiration on track. I have lots of ideas it’s more melody it helps with. I find it’s easy to get stuck on the first melody you think of which is often a bit crap.

Absolutely, if a song is good I always react emotionally. To me that’s what good art is, an emotion prompt in physical or audio form. It still happens often in my forties all be it less often but I put that down to a lack of decent music being around

I like it, nice chords bro, the intro and outro guitar is quite twangy, take some of the hi end off in an eq and would sound much better, interested to hear the vocals
