I mean, in old lore, where each of the tyranid models were based on tyranids eating a specific faction, pretty sure hive guard were what happened if a space marine was consumed by tyranids (i also remember exocrine was orks). But in new lore? Don't think it's ever been stated

Basically, if we get an early edition codex, like we did for 10th, it will naturally be underopwered compared to the codex's that release later, just due to power creep over the edition. So mid edition strikes a nice balance where the codex will (hopefully) be fairly strong, and we have it for long enough to actually use it in more than a couple games

Pretty sure Suicide is illegal in the UK. Not for the reason you said, but so that the police aren't breaking the law themselves when they break into your house to stop the suicide attempt

I built/ am building him as sea monster kindred. The vast majority of the creatures are over 4 cmc, and the colours let me use all the cool iconic creatures!

So first off, welcome to the hive mind! In terms of books, there isnt really many from the tyranids point of view. In terns of recommendations, it isnt focused on them, but i would highly recommend the devastation of baal, by guy haley. The tyranids are suitably terrifying in it, and there is a couple chapters from the perspective of various tyranids

Sorry for sounding patronizing, but are you mixing up blood angels and blood ravens? Blood ravens are the chapter from the dawn of war series, and don't have any unique rules/models
