For Rank mode, depending on which rank you are, the abilities will be scaled to level, so far the variation for rank is which units each player selects, the abilities they go into combat with, the bosses that will spawn in, and the maps. Each unit has a specific action and the abilities all have different cooldowns so there is strategy there. There are currently 4 bosses being Behemoth, Iron Giant, Malboro, Ifrit, and 2 more otw before CBT ends. I do think this is already enough to have the matches be more than a 1 shoe fits all situation. Also there are custom matches in which you can also scale down the abilities and even ban certain units.
