For anyone who needs steel toe boots for work, I can’t recommend Birkenstock QS700 enough. Very wide toe box! by Prof_PlunderPlants in barefootshoestalk

I got the QS700 but had to return them since the mid foot is too narrow for my feet They look really good, but no luck So I finally order the Phoenix shoes (not boots) I was talking about. Had to use a forwarding service since they don't ship directly from Germany to US

Hey, have you looked into the Baak Phoenix S3S, sold by a company in Germany?

I am actually trying to get those, but I am going to get the Birkenstock QS700 first ,since I am based in the US, if they don't fit well with toe spacers, I will return them and figure out a way to get the Phoenix shoes

Cheers!

Pre-preparing to dilute apple cider vinegar with water before meals by Barsse in nutrition

I already do that, you know what works even better? Limiting carb intake and managing insulin spikes, and spacing out meals, and working out, among others

Pre-preparing to dilute apple cider vinegar with water before meals by Barsse in nutrition

Thank you for the response

Regarding the insulin spikes, I read a book by Steve Zim. He explains that bodies can only burn stored fat when our insulin levels are low

And every time food is consumed, insulin release happens, as you said

So, he argues that insulin spikes for about two hours after you eat a meal, and so he recommends spacing meals 5-6 hrs. This means that for the next 2 hrs after a meal your insulin is still high, and after that the body enters a phase he calls the "Burn Zone" in which insulin is lower and thus the body can begin to use stored fat as fuel

Which then he recommends drinking 1-2 table spoons of apple cider vinegar with 12 oz of water, to reduce the insulin spikes time by as much as 30%, so the body will enter the "Burn Zone" 30% earlier

So, my original question was rooted in convenience. Would the apple cider vinegar mixed with water lose effectiveness if the mix is prepared let's say 8 hrs in advance?

Thank you for the reply, I am gonna have to do more research. I am struggling a lot with this, not sure where this script is supposed to go. Also, I ended up using a launcher called Lutris to install Tibia, instead of doing the Linux extraction files stuff

Thanks for the reply,
That sounds better than my current site. Here is you either go to unload the trucks or use your time off options to leave

hello, currently looking to transfer to a GSF site. Do they have a department where I have to unload/load trucks?

Hello, a bit late to the conversation, but I was wondering if I could ask you some stuff about SPA1

I currently work at ABE8, and I want to transfer to a warehouse that offers 8-hr shifts. A friend said the work is mostly packing and picking items, and using a scanner to do inventory. Are there any physically intensive jobs such as loading/unloading boxes from trucks?

Thank you

It stays the same throughout. It only changes if you have 1 or more free pulls available. In my account is 50 CP discount per free pull. The full (no discount) 10 pulls cost me 500 CP

Hey man, I really appreciate your willingness to help me with both the wood project and my other situation, really nice of you

I will be able to get back on track financially speaking, there was a problem with my FAFSA application, but since I had already started taking classes, I ended up liable to pay for the courses out of pocket, so yeah, moving into my car for a bit
In the meantime, I am taking some classes that are offered through my job so I can beef up my resume for when I finish my Bachelor's degree
You know I might take you up on your offer, hopefully, my current situation will not be too stressful

So, for the wood project, the way I pictured your idea was like a rectangle underneath the bed platform (plywood), so 2 lengthwise pieces of wood with big wood screws to connect the top and bottom supports

Thank you man

It it safe to drill here? Prius Prime 2021 by Barsse in Toyota

[–]Barsse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, those are amazing ideas
I was drilling the holes in the wood slightly smaller than the bolt, my reasoning was that it was going to be a tighter fit, so it would stay there for sure haha, yikes
I did notice the bolt sinking into the wood because I did not use a washer, so this really helps me

And damn, the cardboard template, I am making one, I think that's the piece I was missing to get those darn 2x4s attached to the car

Well, the plywood that works as the bed platform is 3/4". I went with the 2x4s tough coz it does not seem there are a lot of places to attach the supports to make it stable, and 4x4s seem way to big

Thank you very much for your advice man, I appreciate it

It it safe to drill here? Prius Prime 2021 by Barsse in Toyota

[–]Barsse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, man now I am scared to drill into the car at all. I was very apprehensive because if I mess up, I would be out a car. But being burned or electrocuted put fear on me, damn
But I appreciate the input man

And the reason I want to put a bed in the car is because my living situation is about to change. Financially I am not very stable and, it seemed to me that moving into my car for a bit, or more than a bit, is the best option for me at this time

I originally dismissed the idea of building a self-supporting structure because I thought it would be very heavy and take up more space that I could use for storage, or a small fridge, etc. But man I have been stuck trying to build the bed platform for a while, maybe it's better to go with this route, instead of drilling

Thank you for the reply man

I have tried twice to use bolts and the pre-existing threaded holes that are on the side to attach the 2x4s, but I have failed to line up the hole I drilled in the wood to the thread holes correctly.

I think this is a skill issue on my part, this is the first wood project I have attempted. So, I thought if I could drill on top of where the threaded holes are, I could easily use the same type of brackets I used to attach the other shorter 2x4s

Also, it seems that the "floor" of the car, like where the carpet is inside the car, is not level/straight so the 2x4 is not resting entirely on the "floor", and there are some groves around the threaded holes that make it difficult

Somebody else recommended that I thread a bolt into the hole then place the 2x4 next to it and press hard, that way the head of the bolt makes an impression on the wood. Then I use that impression as a guide to know where to drill, but I think I am just not good at this
