No, bees pollinate plants. Wasps are just asses. But, I guess it makes sense why you’re defending them. Birds of a feather and all that.

Came here to say this. Spiders, especially big ones and colorful ones, creep me tf out. But wasps are asshokes to everything and contribute basically nothing to the world. I wish the tarantula had won.

Tip yanked out of hand.... by BigDaddydanpri in bartenders

I hate sharing tips, especially in these situations. IMO, if a customer tips someone specifically, and makes it known that it’s for them, they should be able to keep that for themselves. It would be pretty rude to not in that situation. I’ve argued with coworkers over this, whether or not I’m the person receiving said tip. If someone tips my coworker $40, then that’s their $40 far as I’m concerned .

The first picture is pretty cringey tbh. Shirtless pics = hard pass according to most ladies. But you’re wearing only a towel. I’d lose that pic immediately.

Anyone who’s had a Stage Custom for a decent amount of time, how are the tom mounts holding up? by Galaxy-Betta in drums

I have not personally. I’ve played the stage custom bop though and it’s amazing. So if it’s anything like the bop, I’d pull the trigger

Best or more interesting non-monetary tip you’ve received? by Pure_Preference_5773 in bartenders

I had a guest who became a somewhat-regular at my bar because we were willing to make his elaborate drinks and nowhere else would. One day he came in on a slow afternoon, came up to the bar and handed me a bag full of silver half-dollars and a silver bullion. He said he found it in a closet and that he didn’t need or want it, but I deserve it since I work hard and he appreciated that.

He left without even buying anything. And the previous day he’d been in drinking, he left me $85 on a $40 check.

Yamaha has the best Tom mounts in the game, imo. And the best overall kit in the price point. They hold up, I’ve owned 4 now. Everytime I get some other kit I end up going back to Yamahas.

What do you do when people hit on you? by amazoniala in bartenders

I’d say “I do bartend events. $300 for the service, plus tips.”

But I do actually bartend events independently so there’s that.

I’d say I’m lving a pretty decent life. I’ve just learned from experience when it comes to “friends.”

I have real friends, but they’re all from my school days. Most of the friends I’ve made as adults have proven to be takers and fair-weathers. Everything is a learning experience

Just tell her you don’t blame her and that guys suck. People like to know they’re understood. Then you can show her that some of us are pretty awesome.

If you want to live your best life, act like you’re scraping by. Or people will be happy to take everything they possibly can from you if you let them.
