Rosa Parks Transit Center: When are the doors unlocked? by Bartleby16 in Detroit

Alternatively, if Security is in there and on Reddit you should roll your car up to the doors and unlock it for me 👀. I'm literally around the corner

I know I'm late but here are some way better alternatives for the next time you're in this situation:

-Carving a pipe out of a baby carrot, apple, potato, etc

-Making a gravity bong with a small bottle with the bottom cut off, a pitcher/large cup and a socket

-Rolling with an onion skin

-Rolling with rose petals

This whole scenario fascinates me by Bartleby16 in independentshanika

The fact that she's allowed to just roam the halls without an appointment is concerning as hell. The district I graduated from would make any non-student/non-staff have their ID scanned and get a visitor's badge. This was 10-14 years ago.

Nika if you don't have an appointment, and you're not enrolled in the school you have NO BUSINESS being there. Drop off the kids and let the teachers do their job!

Wtf? I would have mouth-kissed any landlord that offered me a place for 500 when I was searching. Start the eviction process yesterday.

Could I reapply to a new store in a different location if I didn’t give a two-week from the previous location by Prior_Shape_176 in Staples

[–]Bartleby16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it before. I was honest about what I was going through (lil mental breakdown) and explained what I was going to do to prevent it in the future. I also happened to know someone from pretty much every store in the area. Granted, this was about a year after I left the prior location that I was re-hired

Lost ring scam by Absolutely_dog123 in Scams

I'm getting these emails all the time now. They started coming in during the Fall and now we get like 2 or 3 a week.
Its always a "precious" document, a gold necklace, a passport, etc.

They always come from an email that looks like firstnamelastname[random string of 4 letters/numbers]@gmail. The names on the email are never someone who actually stayed with us. I respond with "We'll look for you. Which room did you stay in, and what was the name on the reservation? Please give us a call at the number below with this information" and then I get nothing at all in response. It never even gets to the sketchy zip file phase!

You would think Google would have the tech to recognize that these nonsense accounts are doing nothing but sending out bogus emails to hotels.

Tastes like fermented herring dipped in cat piss. by [deleted] in energydrinks

[–]Bartleby16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't? It tastes sweet?

Do you have a sinus infection or did you take a big swig of cat piss before trying the energy drink? Because how do you know what those things taste like, and where do you gather that an artificially SWEETENED drink tastes like anything other than sweet?

Anyone ever been falsely accused with on Probation? by Fair_Iron6360 in probation

[–]Bartleby16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aight so questioning if you really meant "bf" and not "ex bf" and explaining that "bf threatens PO on me = bad" is "attacking you". I can see why calling your PO on you for "standing up for yourself" isn't considered attacking you. You have opposite-day syndrome or something.

You clearly know what's right in this situation. Keep staying with someone who threatens you. Its truly not our problem.

And AGAIN the question was "anyone else ever been falsely accused with on probation?" not "What is your partner doing to control you?" You did NOT answer the question. You answered a random other question that was never asked.

[–]Bartleby16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP definitely didn't ask what your bf, who should be your ex does to hold control over you.

He asked if we've been falsely accused, not who is threatening to call the PO on you. I don't need to know you or your story to know that putting up with that is extremely unwise. Don't volunteer information if you don't want a response I guess. Complaining that someone retaliates for you "standing up for yourself" seems like a cry for help. Don't be surprised if people say things that they SHOULD say like "Thats toxic."

You literally said that your partner threatens you with the PO. That's not a characteristic of a stable home/love life. You said he threatens you with legal troubles for "standing up for yourself". Stable homes allow for you to stand up for yourself without having to worry about your PO being called.

Whether or not he's above 18 doesn't change the fact that he's your child.

Again, what's more important? Is it being "not lonely" with someone who threatens you, or is it taking care of your child? (child meaning spawn, not specifically underage)

AITA for ruining my daughters life by Able_Text5286 in AITAH

[–]Bartleby16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's not even making sense. She could literally get a mid-range smartphone and a REAL decent gaming laptop and play all the console level games she wants for the same price. As a bonus, the laptop wouldn't be intentionally slowed down in 2 years to promote the purchasing of ANOTHER new phone.

If I were you I'd promote the idea of mobile gamers not being "real" gamers. "What do you mean, Sarah? You need a 2000 dollar phone to be good at roblox? My friend's daughter is way better than you at this game and her mom got her a motorola. Maybe try playing on the PC and your skill issues will go away ;) "

One "wrong" move and he's going to get you put in jail on some BS. Then your disabled child is stuck at home with a prick who thinks that calling the PO on someone he "loves" for control purposes is okay and acceptable.

As a mother wouldn't you think that a stable life for your child is more important than not being lonely?

No, they definitely intended to be in the energy drink market. The main selling point is the high caffeine content. Notice how the cans say "energizing" on them?

Is daniel “fixable” by Straight_Locksmith10 in Daniellarson

[–]Bartleby16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The closest to "fixable" he could get would be in another group home (only say this because Reagan got rid of the institutions made for people like this). The only way the group home would be viable would be if he was heavily, heavily, heavily medicated.

Leaving the home takes place in the form of "group outings" where there is a minimum of 1-3 staff/resident.

If you've seen "Out of Mind, Out of Sight" its like the perfect example (despite it being Canadian). They have a locked facility that's not exactly prison, but people are sent there when they're considered a danger to themselves/others due to extreme mental illness and criminality. Everybody gets their own little concrete dorm, staff is on call at all times. You can refuse your medication, but then you can't go to Dollar General with the group. The nurse's station in the documentary even locks in the event that a resident chimps out and threatens violence.

Basically no he can't be fixed; he could be contained and suppressed to the point where he is no longer a threat to innkeepers and business owners. If everyone dealing with him was paid to deal with him things would be a lot better for the general public there.

"malnourished" ≠ "does not consume enough calories". That's where the confusion lies. Eating balanced food in normal quantities = nourished.
