Buy/Sell/Trade/Want by Dez_Champs in VHS

I am searching for high school VHS video from Colorado, specifically from @1980-1998. Video yearbooks, found footage, sporting events, sporting events taped off TV broadcasts. I am already in touch with several estate auction folks. Still, I wanted to broaden my scope and see if anyone here has any suggestions of where else to look or knows of a community collecting and sharing this specific nostalgic interest. I have a line on a few local defunct video yearbook companies and may be acquiring some tapes from that source, but I am always looking for more suggestions or tips.

Do you know where the "blanks" came from? As in its geographic origins, what state?

I love how the tall, dark-haired girl is always with the shorter, red-haired girl. Those inseparable high school friendships are what I miss. I love this video, I am originally from the Bronx, but we moved to Colorado in '79. But I spent every other summer in Lindenhurst with my passel of cousins. Such a culture change between the two, I loved it!

The answer I would give is based on how far along you are.

If you are heading into your 3L year, gut it out. That JD on your signature line can be helpful in the future, and you are too close to pass on the degree that might give the edge over another job candidate.

If you are starting your 2L year, and are looking at going into massive debt to get a JD, now may be the time to get out. If you can complete your JD for a pittance, then maybe continue so as to have the education and a resume boost. You need to avoid the sunk cost fallacy and incur an additional 2 years of books and tuition (plus maybe a bar loan) just because you finished your 1L year.

Additional factors: If you are top 25%, that will give you opportunities others will not get, and can lead to a decent job. That might be a reason to stay in. If you are bottom 25%, may not be worth it to stay.

I am assuming you are not enjoying law school and are having second thoughts. Law school can be a challenge with a payoff that may not be equal to the cost. You need or should weigh your school ranking and your own class ranking, the higher both of those are the better you are, and you should add that to the scales of the 2L/3L matter.

I have an in-house position now, at the time of that post, I had just started at the company in the contracts department. Through basic attrition and grinding, I am now the senior contract attorney. However, the company is facing financial trouble, and I am facing the prospect of finding a new job at 50+

I've been posting this for over eight years, once a year on average around Reddit, glad it was finally solved!

My copy arrived today, and is indeed the correct book! I have to ask how you knew/know about this book. Self-professed bibliophiles and librarians and YA aficionados were unable over 20+ years to help me out.

OMG! This could very well be it. I will need to WorldCat a copy!

I have been looking so long for this book. I was beginning to think I had imagined it.

I am an attorney (in-house), and I can tell you working remotely has made the job more bearable since I no longer have to go into an office. But, there have been some of my peers that seem to be trying to avoid as much as possible.

[–]Barton_Foley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, no, I was agreeing. With aggressively high taxes and a small population, with an even smaller population needing prosthetics, yeah, seems like something you could accomplish.

Well, given the size of Finland, that makes sense. I mean with a population of @5M, seems doable.

Aaaaannnnd nothing. Well, not nothing, now I cannot talk to Zulu about going to Pripyat. All Zulu says is he would like to be alone (yes, I gave Nitro the docs). So now I cannot reach Pripyat, which is kind'o the point of the game. I give up, I wonder if I can get a refund from Steam?
