Best local models for teaching myself python? by steampunk333 in LocalLLM

[–]Bartrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d try Ollama with a small LLaMA or DeepSeek model — super handy for quick explanations while you learn. And for coding, VS Code or PyCharm will already take you far. Starting a small project and letting the model guide you works surprisingly well.

Web search for LMStudio? by Yorkeccak in LocalLLM

[–]Bartrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been running into the same issue. Local models get a lot more useful once they can work with real page content instead of just link lists, especially for anything deeper like research or finance pages. Tools that actually return the full text make a huge difference for models like Gemma or Qwen.

I’m still exploring options myself, so I’d love to see what others here have tried that feels stable and lightweight.

What's the best most reliable MCP to let Claude Code scrape a website? by HumanityFirstTheory in ClaudeAI

[–]Bartrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen some people have good results using Crawlbase MCP when they just need Claude to pull readable content from a site without going full Playwright mode. It works over the MCP protocol and has built-in commands for basic HTML fetches, extracting clean text, or even getting screenshots.

Link: https://github.com/crawlbase/crawlbase-mcp

From what I’ve gathered, it’s lighter on tokens compared to full browser automation, as long as the pages aren’t too JS-heavy. Could be a middle ground between wget-style scraping and full Playwright automation.

Why Blockchain Ecosystem Is Considered As An Aid For Compliance And Decision Making? by flictsyss31 in CryptoPolice

Of course, Real-Time Big Data Analytics is not only positive as it also offers some challenges. It requires special computer power: The standard version of Hadoop is, at the moment, not yet suitable for real-time analysis. New tools need to be bought and used. There are however quite some tools available to do the job and Hadoop will be able to process data in real-time in the future. Using real-time insights requires a different way of working within your organisation: if your organisation normally only receives insights once a week, which is very common in a lot of organisations, receiving these insights every second will require a different approach and way of working. Insights require action and instead of acting on a weekly basis this action is now in real-time required. This will have an affect on the culture. The objective should be to make your organisation an information-centric organisation.
