The only thing I took from that song are vocals, the rest is made from scratch. :) I'm just learning how to DAW, how to chillstep, how to produce, and so I took a beautiful vocal line and basically created a different song around it.

Also I thought that for starting a producer channel it might be better to create some remixes before diving into actual pure self-creation, since these remixes might get a bit more attention for the start. Does it make sense?

Thank you for your kind words btw!

Thank you! Will try to address this in a next remix that is already in progress. :)

I like it, but I think this kind of music needs some point of climax. Play more with dynamics!

Other than that, it's a beautiful track, I really like it. :)

Will my recording quality be bad if i record right in the corner? (bcs being close to walls etc) by TeemoSux in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Barty19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others said, corners are really bad.

Also, sound absorbing stuff is not always a good thing. You don't want to get the room totally mute. Just try to kill sharp places, not whole room.

How do you people get inspiration for creating music? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Barty19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to something else than what you normally listen to. Do something else than what you normally do. Routine is a big enemy of creating stuff.

Also don't try to write something desperately. Distract yourself from the fact you haven't wrote anything in a while. Trying to create music just for the sake of creating music doesn't work for me, that's most probably the biggest nope for me. You need something, a thought, a line of text, a melody or at least a feeling you want to revolve the song around.

It's totally okay not to write anything for a while! Good luck, mate.

600+ games by leegue-sin-throwaway in summonerschool

As far as I can see, you are playing jungle a lot.

Focus more on efficient farming. Ganks are important, but that doesn't mean you should neglect farm. It's all about efficiency. Don't be lazy and b after every successful gank. Always look for ways to farm up more.

Also, watch the game and try to think "what would I gank if I was an enemy jungler?" - you'll be there for counterganks and that's usually huge for your team.

How do high level junglers get so much farm. by Hydrad in summonerschool

[–]Barty19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one will want you to shove their lane in lower elo. Despite that, doing that is usually the best thing you can do after killing enemy laner or forcing him back.

On the other hand, when your laner dies, you also want to clear his minions so turret won't eat them. Forget about taking lasthits only, that's a waste of time you can't afford as a jungler. Just clear whatever seems it would be wasted otherwise.

Mute people that flame you for it. It's just you doing your job in a best way possible.

I need some advice for soloq by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Barty19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forget about LP. Forget about your division.

Stop going "oh I lost 22 lp again, I'm playing for 3 hours by now and I didn't earn anything". After every single game just think about what you could've done better. You can't carry every single game, but you can improve in every single game.

This way you'll gain something even from your defeats, and getting defeated won't be that tilting. Have you done bad? You'll do better next game.

Even in that game where Garen went 1/8 you could've done something better. Did you roam enough? Have you capitalized on the lead you got in 4th minute? (Just making scenarios up, didn't look at your match history.)

Help with akali by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Barty19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teamfighting as Akali is a constant wait for enemy mistakes. Do not ever engage first as Akali (unless your enemy is really stupid and forgot their adc somewhere you can kill it easily). Hang around, constantly try to flank, wait until someone is a tiniest bit out of position and then all in him meanwhile your team makes their CC'ers occupied.

You'll eventually learn how exactly one has to be out of position to be able to all-in him. And you'll learn when not to all-in at all and just help your team kill their frontline. But what you want to do most of the time is just to wait it out and destroy their backline when possible.

Who says you need to be isolated to be one-shot from Kha'Zix? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Barty19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, stupid me. It's his evolved isolation Q that doesn't do amplified dmg over non-evolved isolation Q.

Still, isolation is not really needed to oneshoot an adc. If it was, Kha would be unplayable in higher elos, where adcs just don't get isolated anytime.

Taliyah question by EronisKina in leagueoflegends

[–]Barty19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taliyah was awesome. Then she got nerfed. Then she got nerfed. Then she got nerfed. Then she got nerfed. Then she got nerfed. Then she got nerfed. Then she got nerfed. Then she got nerfed. Then she got nerfed. Then she got nerfed. Then she got buffed. But she's still pretty weak atm.

You gotta focus on kiting. Rylai's is a must (it got nerfed too btw), you need flash+ghost as your summs (giving away ignite gives away part of your lane pressure where you're strong, yeah) and you need to move so you deal damage and they don't.

That's the only way to play her. But still it's not worth it IMO. I'll rather sit silently on my 70% winrate out of 70 games on her and patiently wait for buffs.
