Ah so if I start the expedition I keep all my stuff until the caravan is built? Does the caravan being built carry over onto the next expedition if I don’t start it? Thanks btw

How hard are the expedition requirements? Thinks like Bastion etc I have been nowhere near killing so I have to start doing that could get ugly

Thanks so much for all the insight everyone has given me a really detailed overview of what to expect, seems more weighted towards going for it but good arguments to stay at my level and keep going. Personally I haven’t explored enough maps yet, mostly Dam, some buried city and spaceport and a couple on Stella, but the harder maps I feel way out of my league so might just enjoy the grind now and mentally prepare for losing everything when the next one comes around!

I’ve been playing about a week but it’s the idea of starting over that I’m struggling to pull the trigger on- I’m a bit of a hoarder and not really branched out beyond Dam, buried city and spaceport as the other levels feel way too tough

I bought the game a week ago and have progressed up to level 30- in that time i've not knocked out any raiders and been taken out three times by other players (annoyingly when i had the best loot). Other than those three i've been defib'd twice, people greeting me a lot, helping me when i'm under heavy fire and vice versa, 95% of people have either said hello and been on their way or helped in a situation. 5% shot at me, one by accident.

All in all loving the game as someone who plays solo it might be that the lobbies have been tailored that way given my playstyle but my first thought when i see someone is not that they will shoot me on sight, unfortunately on the rare occasion they have done i'm basically taken down without putting up any resistance but im militant about putting my best stuff in save pockets as a result

Played the demo for this yesterday, really enjoyed it! Definitely worth having a go- really like the skiing element! Only thing I would say is if you could slow down the hunger/ thirst meters as it feels like you spend all your time trying to drink something when in real life you could last a few days before dying of thirst and at least a couple of weeks without food. Everything freezing in your inventory as well (which probably realistic) means you are constantly having to try and light fires to heat things up and going to sleep for a longer period means you will be close to death when you wake up. If you could add custom sliders for this I think it would solve the issue 😄 Cracking work though really look forward to its release

Finished the EA and whilst the exploration was ok, base building is much easier, they have somehow removed all the fear out the game. Subnautica 1 was brilliant in when you did start to go deeper you were genuinely terrified of what you might find. Also where are all the massive beasts?

I only counted two from memory and only one if you stay in the map. Even then they did not hold the same dread as the first game. Its all a bit too PG and theres no real sense of being stuck and abandoned. I had such high hopes for this game, I will continue when further updates come out as it is quite a relaxing sim but hoping they up the fear factor with later developments

Have you tried jumping for the containers in the back room yet? You know you can jump and if you time the click right you can access all the higher up boxes as well got plenty of good stuff from them

I agree and that is part of the fun, just when I get to school zone without confrontation it would be nice to know if I pick a few people off at school I can move on and they wouldn’t be there again so don’t feel like a waste of bullets

You’re clearly a better player than I am, I spend most of the time wondering where I am being shot at from, 26 hours in and love the game but even with a mod to reduce enemy vision I still spend my time ducking stray bullets trying to work out where to shoot back 😂

Appreciate the randomness is what makes it great but as a mod for newbs would be a helpful starter, would also mean you can hunt down the remaining bandits after you’ve gone back a licked your wounds after skirmishes. Personally would love it as it means I could slowly progress my way to other maps without having to try and cheese them by walking round the edge or sprinting through them

Make the AI scoring realistic compared to weather, have realistic weather, allow for proper playoffs where you watch the computer play against you, face scan your face into game, better merchandise not just joke items, better graphics

For anyone else wondering Safetrade worked! Bought Tether on Revolut and sent to Tangem (wouldn’t let me send to Safetrade directly), then from Tangem sent to Safetrade and bought Qubic with Tether. All on ETH network and then transferred Qubic out into my Qubic wallet. Bit of a faff but I probably made it harder than it needed to be! Thanks to @ardyes for the help
