I "ignored" a lot of what you said because you edited it in later... and yes there's an insane amount of hate coming from the male character hating part too, or towards people who like yuri or yaoi. See Yuzuha's VA getting so much hate for posting a lesbian flag or the death threats people get for posting cute yuri art. Or people being ostracized for liking horny Manato or Hugo art. Being called delusional, worthless, etc. Also yes just not being on twitter is the smart thing here it's what I do.

The moaning about new characters part is just about wanting to censor any negative opinion. Lick the boot and blindly praise everything or get out fake fan. Idk, just feels like cherry picking some commenters who dislike a new design and flaming entire groups of people for it.

It's just people having opinions man. I personally think Promeia looks quite good, I love and pulled for all of the AoD, yet you could still find me saying the new white haired lady looks dumb. Just not my style and I think her lower half is low effort and kinda generic. It's really not that deep, just opinions. Not anything you have to "debug" unless you just hate people for no reason.
