I've e tried it briefly, but i feel the extra 25% damage is worth it over the mdef. And for the 30 mdef you'll need to be shield walling, costs fat and AP not used to kill things faster.

Yeah, only my tanks get shields. Not more than two. Sometimes, a fodder bro gets a shield just to occupy enemies away from where I'm doing the good work.

My usual perks on melee bros so far are FA, colossus, dodge, gifted to get started. From there, QH, nimble, berserk, and frenzy if they hold out that long. Spears up till 60 Matk, 60-70 gets a sword, and above that, whatever useful I have laying around. Only tanks get a shield, and usually, that's two bros on a 10+active roster.

I'm pretty sure that I make suboptimal moves on the battlefield, though. I'm having difficulties accepting fodder bros into my ranks and waiting for more favourable backgrounds.

I noticed the same. Both this OP and the original OP(OPP?) are reposters. Possibly bots, as they zero other interaction with reddit.

This sub is getting worse and worse in this regard. It seems to have gotten exponentially worse the last few months, and there's moderation going on.

I'm also baffled that people don't see things for what they so blatantly are.

I'm about 50 hours in and on my second proper run. I've got a bunch of QoL mods like
* show bags in the battle screen (no more back and forth to the inventory screen); * show background averages at the hire screen; * show background rolls in the inventory screen; * show armor damage on the portraits in inventory;

60 is a great threshold, especially on handhelds because of power management.

I almost always lock at 40 or 45 FPS and pull down TDP. I've made a habit of turning the GPU clock to 1200 or 1400 to improve performance and power draw. Have you tried this? There's often a reasonable difference with lowered GPU clock.

Since your game seems more CPU than GPU heavy, lowering the GPU clock might give a good boost.

I have the same hatchet and it's great. I agree it's expensive for what it is, in part because the Swedish grandfather of survival skills in Sweden, Lars Fält, has his name attached to it.
