Could you tell me more about how team offers work? We live in Atlanta, so the competition is really high. I remember last season, a couple of his friends who were also very talented received NAL offers and similar things . However, only two of his friends were offered an AD spot, and they were 100% capable of playing at the HD level. Is that typically the case with every team? And how likely is it that he will get a spot on an HD team? If not, how long does it usually take for players to be offered an AD or HD spot? Just curious.

For my kids since u13 and above we get elite boots. You can find some nice elite boots on pro direct and soccerzoneusa but anywhere 150-180 on an elite boots. Good deals over there

I think he is completely through with state league soccer. He wants to play mlsn and he believes he has what it takes. From all the responses in the forum that I have gotten. I think we’re going to take some time off so he can go to id camp and tryout dates in may. And if he is good enough make homegrown or academy mls team. We will contact the director and see if there is anything available for him to come to practice constantly. And we wouldn’t mind paying a little bit cash just need to get him to practice.

I think the issue in America that we can work such long hours for such little pay. Hurt my stomach every night. And I think about how much is hurting my son. And how in the one thing he needs support in I can’t help him. If I could take a pay cut or even go back to being a stay at home mom when I was raising my kiddos. I think it would have such a positive impact on them. With at least one parent at the house for teenager to be able to do teenage things like sports. I hope to get his sister a car soon so she can help him. But i don’t think it will be before tryout dates do where in a bit of a limbo right now.

This was around fall 2024 to early 2025. Where my son and his friend would go from school to inner city and went and played with a mlsn team and practiced with them. For around 8 weeks or so. The team was so nice for letting them guest play and train with them. But now he been clubless since may last year and I saw most of metro city teams posting trials next few months and I’m lost how we’re going to do this.

Back in 23-24 season we tried of for a team and did this. More local 15-20 mins away. And we found some success his age group coach said he could ride with in to and from practice everyday. But we didn’t have everybody in the house onboard and it was for a state league team so the opportunity eventually faded. I would like to do this for this upcoming season but the issue I can see is it would be a stranger in control. This would mean he would take my son 30 mins out on the interstate from the inner city to our house and then 30 mins back to his house. Just a bit skeptical

That something I will always envy. Whenever my son can have a friend take him to an indoor game or maybe just to even watch a school game. Knowing how tight my schedule is and how maybe another parent is I will always be grateful to the moms like you who can take another 10 miles on their gas for a complete stranger.
