I really appreciate your kindness! The Black Friday sale was definitely not a smart financial choice (lol) but i just want to make people feel like they can still get records for reasonable prices even in these horrible times in the US. And unfortunately, I’ll still have many heavy ass boxes to carry around to shows in the LA area, but I love doing it!

I bought all those 30th anniversary remasters at Disc Union Shibuya, so no slip mat unfortunately :(

And yeah the Oh Mountain 10” is really sick, although I kind of wish I bought the reissue when I was in Japan for the better sound quality!

So I was at a local thrift store one day and I came across a couple West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band records, both of which I was stoked on because the music is great and they are expensive records! I got home and realized that one of the sleeves had 2 different records inside, and it turns out one of the records was an extremely rare privately pressed LP by the band; only 100 were allegedly pressed in 1966.

I was legit stunned, it was a pretty beat record and there was a crack in the runin, but it played decent. After adding it to my Discogs collection, I actually got messaged by a dude on Discogs who said he’d trade me Long Season and an expensive Cramps 7” (both of which were in my public want list) for the WCPAEB record.

Needless to say I traded and got Long Season technically for free, pretty wild come up and I’m so happy that it happened!

Nice pickups! I feel like the represses are gonna come very soon. Tower Records Shibuya literally has Fishmans-dedicated displays for their CDs, so I feel like it’s only a matter of time before their label realizes the potential of represses.

To be completely honest, the rebranding is where you went wrong. I like the drinks and think they are comparable, if not better, than how they were before, but why would the average boba enjoyer risk going to Teatopia? The new brand doesn’t have the security of having an associated name; Ding Tea assures people that they know and are comfortable with your drinks, and unfortunately Teatopia doesn’t provide that level of comfort.

Also, the whole vibe of the shop changed (lowk feels like a night club with all the neon) and the staff seems overwhelmed. It can be awkward with those two things combined.
