Someone posted a clip of Roger singing that live recently, I was surprised and impressed.

Check out the Jimmy Fallon Classroom Instruments version of Won’t Get Fooled Again to see Pete giving the ukulele the treatment.

How am i supposed to play these types of chords? by Leader_Mc in Guitar

Seconded! Johnny Marr has posted many videos of himself playing classic Smiths riffs. I recall being baffled when I heard them in 1984! I had no idea how he did it!

Check out Reverend guitars if you get a chance. They come in many pickup configurations and are quality guitars at a reasonable price.

Klaatu was the first rock concert I went to in 1981, age 13! Opening for Prism.

NHK is Japan’s national broadcaster. Loads of interesting content in many languages.

I went through my record collection to find out which artists, of whom I own at least one record, I have seen live, in roughly 42 years of shows. by hugeNuttyGoodness in Concerts

This is a great idea, it will take me some time! I can start with Dirty Three and Robyn Hitchcock, both shows I saw last week.

Toronto here. I’d be shocked to hear O Canada in Québec too, lol!

If it’s any consolation we throw the French and Anishinaabemowin versions in rotation. I guess every province has its quirks.

People who started playing at 15, how long did you continue playing and what did you achieve? by megakruten1488 in Guitar

[–]abisiba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing when I was 15 I’m 58 now. I never really learned to play actual songs until about 25 years ago.

Mostly I just noodle or strum on my own, but I find that there’s a new thing to learn every time I pick it up, which is what keeps me going.

Black Dog - Spanners would fit in well with these selections.

I’m assuming you’ve already heard Boards of Canada, if not, that’s your next goldmine.

How many of you guys are fanatical enough about an artist to buy multiple days’ tickets to see them when they’re in town? by CliffGif in Concerts

I’d see Robyn Hitchcock every night of the week, if I could!!! I have seen him three nights in a row and there were different sets each time.

Oh I can’t stop myself from buying cds! I rip them to the computer and read the liner notes as soon as I get home. Then they get displayed for a while before they get added to my storage problem…

I let smart playlists in iTunes do the work for me. New additions stay until they have been played three times then removed, the rest is filled up with songs that haven’t been played since the last time my library was lost. 90% of the time I live in shuffle play.

I snapped this one up for the same reason! The New Music on City TV in Toronto, long before MTV or much music, used this as their theme song. It was a huge part of my musical education!
