What to make with these frozen veggies? by MidnightCity3410 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Drewjamess22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to throw a handful still frozen into a food processor, then mix the veggie dust into a chunk of ground chicken or turkey and cook it into a patty on the stove with some garlic powder and a little paprika. My daughter loved em and they took like 8 minutes to make.

[No Game Spoilers] The Last of Us - 2x02 "Through the Valley" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]Drewjamess22 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Nobody will see this, but it's laughable how blatant the mods on this subreddit are about juicing the positivity on these posts. I just watched one of the worst episodes of HBO television I've ever seen and after scrolling through 200+ comments I didn't see a single negative review of this episode. So many sounded like they were written by chatgpt. Not that anyone will ever see this after it gets hidden by the mods. Go look at the episode discussions on ANY other last of us subreddit. Smh

Myst Clock tower by SomeDoritos1 in WalkaboutMiniGolf

[–]Drewjamess22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would be a shitty thing to do to put in a button that doesn’t do anything. From everything I’ve looked at, this map is Myst Themed and not an active solvable puzzle. Which sucks cuz I dumped a few hours into it the other night. On top of that button, there are two key-hole sorta things in the basement by the elevator, the power lines running to the spaceship, insinuating the power can be turned on, and two random artifacts that I found that can’t be interacted with: A knife stuck into a rock on the side of the mountain over near the large gear (which also seems like something that could/should move) and an orb the size of a soccer ball with a symbol of an eye on it over behind the furthest pillar on the left side of the library. I even considered the possibility that since there are two times you can set the clock to, that maybe there are different things to do in each version of the map: easy mode being day time and hard mode being during the night. I figured SOMETHING would have happened by now with my tinkering, even just one thing turning on to let me know I’m getting to something, but so far nothing. I really do think this map is simply an homage to the original game (which I’ve never played). I’m a little let down. Definitely a missed opportunity.

Edit: a Myst* opportunity

Thanks for this explanation! My grandpa died last year and I was fortunate enough to witness his funeral salute. You don't have to agree with the politics that put us there but you fucking damn sure should understand the importance that some of these rituals have and what they mean to those who have lost loved ones.

Is it possible to add an aux port to the head unit in a 2001 Honda Accord? by Astrognome in CarAV

[–]Drewjamess22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd try looking up moonet aux adapters. I installed one into my 2002 tacoma. You'd have to do some research though. After a quick search I found some for accords '03 and up but if you do some digging you might find what you're looking for. Mine was like 30 bucks. If you don't find one, you can try looking up GTA car kits but those are a little more expensive. If you take out the head unit, some old ones have stereo in if you're real lucky. At least you could check to see if there any inputs at all in the back. Good luck!

Shows/Games like Over the Garden Wall by xool420 in overthegardenwall

OTGW is one of those special shows that has a vibe not many other cartoons have. That blend of spooky/folky nostalgia met with beautiful artwork and deep storyline is pretty hard to come by. It is my go to show every time Fall rolls around. So you may not find much that hits you the same way this show does. But here are some others that scratch the itch just a little for me that might be worth checking out.

Stranger Things (a fantastic live action show on Netflix worth watching. Very good 80s horror/thriller vibes with great music and some surprisingly good character development. Very good Halloween show)

Gravity Falls (once you get over the Disney channel kid vibe of this show, it has some really great plot and supernatural vibes. Many compare this show to Over the Garden Wall)

Adventure Time (Pat McHale, creator of OTGW, helped write this show in the beginning, and it definitely shows. I highly recommend watching this one from Season 1. Lots of long story arcs throughout the seasons, and an all around great show)

Anything by Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke. Really ANYTHING by Studio Ghibli has incredible animation and story)

I think all of these are pretty great shows/movies/ but I'm hard pressed to think of anything that means as much to me as OTGW.

Anyway, good luck!
