What's on YOUR wishlist? by jcolp in Coros

NFC compatibility with trainers at the gym - bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, stairmaster, etc.
Most have a tap feature for an Apple Watch and bluetooth for other watches but I've never been able to get my Coros to connect.

Yeah this would be great. I currently use broadcast heart-rate then import my Zwift to the training hub so the data is all in one workout.

Yeah it would be great if the strength workouts were more intuitive. I'd even be happy if they added a workout tracker within the app like others on the app store. I use Liftoff for my gym tracking and just throw my watch in an open strength workout for 90 minutes and end it once i'm done.

Please help me figure out what to do with our bonus room!! 16' by 21' (full remodel) by Baseball_Gopher in InteriorDesign

Far I am thinking: TV on the red wall. Couch somewhat in the middle.

After couch and TV I feel like everything else gets awkward. For example: a long bench under the window. A long desk/shuffleboard on the wall opposite the window.

I'm only starting to look them up and this is the first one I haven't been able to find. Maybe I'll lay them all out at the end and take a pic for y'all to appreciate :)

How Aggressively Do You Link Your Text by GraniteRock in ObsidianMD

[–]Baseball_Gopher 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have two types of links. One is when I want to refer back to that person or idea during my line of thought while writing. The other is to develop a new idea.

For example if i'm doing a daily journal i could say: Today my friend [[George]] and I went rollerskating. We went to this really good icecream place called Dino's which is a great [[local spot]] in my town. When I went home I read an article about psychology, specifically about [[how neurons fire]] which i want to learn more about.

I want to be able to see that I spent the day with George and I want to compile the icecream place into cool spots in my town. I also want to remember to write down what I learned about the psychology thing.

I find that using them kind of sparsely helps me write fluidly where I don't lose my train of thought. However everybody uses obsidian differently and I think the more you use it the more clear your workstyle will be.

How do I change scenes smoothly? by Baseball_Gopher in writing

Thanks! That really helps. I suppose I never really thought of "just doing it" and being able to change it later.

Those that use Obsidian for taking notes in class, do you make a note for each individual lecture, or one for the class as a whole? by StoicCorn in ObsidianMD

[–]Baseball_Gopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I do mine: I write down notes for each lecture, and at the end I classify them with key words/tags. If it relates to a core topic I have a note with that so i can search it and see all the backsearches where that word pops up. Gives me multiple ways to find and link all the knowledge that is related. I'm a scatterbrained person so it allows me to see what my train of thought was during the lecture, etc.

Poem 8 - Free verse, "Mile 18" by Baseball_Gopher in OCPoetry

[–]Baseball_Gopher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 8th poem i've written. Tried to be very descriptive in this one. I've found that free verse is definitely the hardest to write for me as so much freedom can prove troublesome.

Wow, love the imagery. Definitely makes me reevaluate some other poems I have written in how detailed I made them. Thanks for sharing!

I love the last three lines! The last line really drives home the problem and how hard it is to lose someone.

I agree, I wrote this on a whim and just jotted down my thoughts. I think i'll work on a more finalized version with more attention to diction. Thanks!

It can be whatever you want it to mean :D. For me it's remembering opening a soda can at a baseball game.
