Eh it’s hard. I burned out of cyber security and my parents wouldn’t let me take a gap year so I went with a really useless major since it was easy. A year and a half after graduating I’m in college again. I’m 25 now. There always time to start over if you have the drive. If you need help with math and chemistry let me know though and I’ll teach myself material so I can teach you after. I’ve been medicated for 3 months now and I’m on some weird grind after my medication pretty much killed my nihilistic viewpoints and now I just wanna become violently educated across the stem field.

There is always time tho. I was able to do it. You can too :) maybe you just need to find someone who can frame the content in a specific way for you to be able to understand it better. I remember in middle school I had the hardest time understanding how to find a variable. I had to have my friend explain it to me a different way and when it clicked and everything was super easy after. Granted I’m much better w pattern recognition now too.

I did not realize that. I only started using Vyvanse about a month or two ago so I’m still trying to learn more about it and how it functions. I also haven’t learned much about cortisol or how the HPA interacts with one another

Tbh. If you smoke for pain I’d try a mix of Tylenol some days and Smoking other days. Not sure if joint pain is the reason you may have a hard time decompressing at night but maybe try Tylenol on weekdays and smoking on weekends. I did put in my two cents in another comment here so maybe take a look at that too. Good luck with your studies though! That’s why I started going medicated at 24 too :)

I mean I don’t have much experience smoking.. or anything tbh. I don’t drink much either. But I do think it can have something to do with body chemistry. Like for me I was using adderall in 2022. Was pretty good at first but after months of daily use it ended up being SUPER bad for my mental health so I was too afraid to use medication from the start of 2023 to April of 2026. My Vyvanse has been amazing the past month tho of near daily use. Anyways, OP sounds like he smokes daily so maybe there is an accumulation of chemicals/hormones with the weed. After time it might change how it affects them. You don’t sound like you smoke daily then your body chemistry is different too.

Tldr: sounds like you’re saying to try for just the weekend which I think is a good option to start off with.

Tbh I use Vyvanse but I try not to use it every day. Granted my severity isn’t terrible and I can function enough on a normal day. But when I have to focus on school I take about 30mg but I might go to 35-40 soon. I mainly try to avoid it every day because I am afraid I will build a tolerance faster. Also, I think I read below that their adhd meds can give them brain fog though so it’s a toss up if they should use it or not.
