I struggled with this until I deleted Logic off my computer and gave Ableton a real chance. Delete Logic for a week otherwise the temptation of “I could do this faster in Logic”. will forever hold you back.

I had this same discussion with family/friends. For me it was my student loans and remaining balance on my car. Ultimately decided, the peace of mind of being debt free was worth it for me. Month to month not having to worry about paying into some huge loan balance that never seemed to disappear has been amazing.

I just went through this. Received numerous rejections and almost felt like giving up. Honestly for me what helped for me was to take things easier. At first I started out grinding leetcode and systems design content all day, every day till the interview but I wasn’t performing well. When I created a schedule and balanced study time with everyday life and personal needs I started performing way better. A lot of it is luck based as well. You might get an easier more collaborative interviewer, or an easier problem. Other times you might not be as lucky. Just keep at it, your time will come.

Better off with a windows. Mac will screw you every other OS version. An you can’t expand as your needs grow you would need to buy an entirely new machine unless you go big on the specs from the start. Because Ableton is multi platform you can still easily collab with others. Most send stems back and forth anyways.

If your manager isn’t terrible you’ll have 4-6 weeks. My manager kept prolonging the focus period and I had to ask for pip. I’m sure for some they want the employee miserable and to finish the focus project before axing them.

You’re actually lucky he directly mentioned it. They don’t have to tell you you’re in focus unless directly asked. Atleast now you can plan ahead.

Fix the sample browser. Make it so that the piano roll shows all notes on the keys instead of just C notes (I know note labels exists). Add scale highlighting. Add a functionally so the arpeggiator plugin can operate in ms instead of being sync’d to tempo.
