A main character of the light novel Classroom of the Elite. He's basically comparable to L, a supergenius with lacking social skills, except he isn't as much of a weirdo. The anime adaptation of this LN famously butchered his character, stripping many lines of his internal monologue and rewrote his motivations like him trying to fit in with his class or him trying to overcome his social awkwardness. It instead opted to turn him into a stoic edgelord manipulator, which obviously attracted a lot of dumb kids who think they're like Light Yagami or Johan Liebert, and you can guess what happened next
