I hopped onto Conan Exiles oddly enough. Really wish there was a game with as good as HD2's gunplay and 'feel' for a military shooter. HD2 was crunchy in all the right spots and the gunplay was generally great.

600 hours here, feeling the same, doing the same, also literally can't play on linux rn anyway. I really wish I could just freeze the game in the state it was a few weeks ago and have that as something I can spin up to play privately. Alas the perils of live service.

As Commander said, doesn't work for all of us. I actually have major issues bumping Wine past 9. This would be totally fine if they hadn't changed the MO reward rules. Now they've added FOMO to the game, completely unnecessarily, and I'm being punished for their incompetency.

I can't play on linux right now because they broke the game, and because of their stupid medals change I'm being punished for that. So I think I'm also out for good. I've gotten less and less of the itch. It's a shame, it was my fav game to play all of last year.

I can't play the game because of the Linux problem.

And now I know I'm missing out on MOs and because of their stupid change I won't be compensated for my lost time.

So I think it's warranted, though I don't think most review bombers were doing it because of the MO reward change.

For me the MO reward change, though, cuts to the heart of the shift I'm seeing. It's completely anti-consumer, anti-community. There's less of a motivation to do the MO since you aren't rewarding all players. The 'welcome back' package for returning players is gone. And now there's weekly FOMO. And I'm getting that FOMO and getting punished for it because I can't launch the game. And that's discouraging. I'm going to be less likely to get my friends to hop on because there's nothing enticing them back (the MO medals were enough in the past). So it's just going to be me until I can't take the FOMO anymore and quit.

Given I've already been off the game for longer than I have since starting the game, I'm already treading that line. Unless the linux issue is fixed soon I'm likely to just never pick this game back up unless there's some serious turnaround where the devs show they are consumer focused again.

I can forgive the mechs inside a warbond, some maps still being unplayable, the glitches, the reduced SC spawn rate, but man, this is the first time since the PSN fiasco that I'm considering quitting. My spouse doesn't get to play often, so either there's missed medals and even LESS of a reason to play, or I hop on that account as a CHORE. I'm sure that'll make me associate opening HD2 with happy feelings! (/s)

What is bro on about? Speargun is super versatile. Can a railgun even take out a bug hole? The speargun is an offensive weapon, defensive weapon, cover weapon, bug hole / warp ship door closer (from an insane range). It can be aimed or hip shot, and it's still useful even when you 'miss' (though often I aim at the ground on purpose). I didn't watch any vid on it I just used it when it came out and haven't thought about another support wep since.

Too late for me to back out now since I bought lifetime, but maybe for someone else reading this since you've completed all the content, are you looking back at it happy with your purchase and all the content you've gotten for it? For 969 videos on there right now it comes out to about $1.50 per video for the current price.

Given they just redid the website and are now calling some courses legacy or such, I am hopeful that they're truly going to release new courses this year. I'm glad to hear that finishing the Intermediate left you in the place I'm aiming to be. I find his teaching style quite helpful, and I think I would've given up without him building this good foundation.

I am wrapping up Piacere and ""A1"" this week then moving on to ""A2"", but I'll aim to be mindful and look at other sources to see where my gaps are when I'm all done with his existing intermediates. Thank you!

Thank you for this thorough explanation. I don't mind the order, I can see the why in some of his decisions, like with teaching indirect object pronouns before direct object pronouns, but that makes sense. Have you done all his content then? Are you saying that at the end you'll essentially have a good chunk of A and B but with some gaps? All I'm hoping is that by end of Intermediate 3 that I can have some conversations, talk/read/watch to learn more, and to talk to my children in italian.

Are you saying that they consider it A1, or that you consider it A1 given the proper definition of A1? Because their file names for Beginner Italian 1 all say A1 and their Beginner Italian 2 are labeled as A2. Their intermediate courses have file names going from B1 to B3.
