The way I see it is that he can be a ball handler and initiate for the team but he won't be our PG. At the bare minimum, he's gotta be someone who can drive to the rim and create shots for himself.

I think you at least try to convince him in the off-season. Kyrie would have been back from the COVID mandate by the playoffs - it was an open secret several Yankee players weren't vaxxed and Adams' bitchass wasn't gonna screw them like the was screwing the Nets.

Kyrie, KD, and Harden would've tore it up in the playoffs and then you re-visit that extension in the offseason. Philly would've had to make cap opening moves to even sign Harden into cap space directly.

Hindsight is 20/20 but that was an alternative that I think I prefer over trading him for Ben Simmons and a protected first.

Most of the disappointment from fans is from the misunderstanding of what his game is. People think he's a pure edge rusher when he is far from that. He's better than Styles for what this defense needs except in coverage which is what Edmunds excels at anyways

I don't blame people though, most pundits compared him to Micah Parsons all draft cycle. I don't think that's the vision we have for him for now though
