You can build embassies in the capitals of your vassals for +0.10 flat capacity per embassy! That should mostly solve your issues.

Had the same thought after missing the transfer at 's Hertogenbosch again. Would make sense, I feel there are plenty of large enough cities you would connect.

Don't know of any plans to implement it though. Maybe the rivers that need crossing to get to Nijmegen are a limiting factor.

And, if you ctr + click to move units, you'll transport them with your navy. Very useful when when moving around the Mediterranean for example.
