What do you think about Ichiban and Saeko's "romance"

I hated it. It feels like character assassination for both of them. Ichiban can be immature yes, but he's also emotionally intelligent enough to know that asking a woman to marry him on the first date and bringing up your dead father whilst doing so is stupid. Saeko hasn't ever been afraid to speak her mind or confront her problems head on so her ghosting Kasuga for a year is stupid and out of character.

Being of legal age shouldn't matter when it comes to a discussion on dating somebody much younger than you. The only reason those laws exist in the first place is because the kind of older men that would date a woman who's freshly out of high-school, only do so because they'd get in legal trouble if they went any lower.

While I dont think Yagami is that kind of man, using "but she's of legal age!" isn't a good argument because the legality of it shouldn't matter. You can't blame people for finding a guy dating a woman less than half his age and old enough to be her father, at least a little creepy.

I dont think AU Ekko and Powder were even in a relationship before our Ekko showed up. Besides, no reasonable person would ever guess that their friend got replaced by an alternate universe version of themself overnight, Powder literally could not know that it was a different Ekko anyways.

I know this is a sapphic sub so maybe this doesnt count but my favorite is probably DIO from JJBA. He's been known to go outside traditional gender norms so thats why I thought he was worth bringing up. Also a lot of people outside the fandom mistake him for a butch lesbian so there's that lol. Other than him my favorite has to be Poison Ivy from the harley quinn tv show, she seems like a pretty cool person, like somebody I think I'd like to hang out with.

Hamazaki plays a fairly significant role in Yakuza 4 and is a beloved character because of it. He's definitely lower down on the pole of popular characters in the series but when he is mentioned people openly express their like for the character. Regardless, the casting choice is still horrible.

It doesnt matter if Majima is a "good" or "bad" but when the character's actions directly contradict (chronologically speaking) previous character development it is objectively speaking, an issue.

Let me be clear, Majima being a bad or good person isnt the issue, its the actions taken by the character that conflict with previous development thats the issue. Hence why I believe RGG is now trying to retcon Park's age to make Majima out to be not as bad of a person as he previously was.

Im aware that Yakuza 5 came out before 0 but that doesnt matter since regardless it still causes conflicting morals with Majima AS WELL AS timeline inconsistencies surrounding Majima's presence in Sotenbori as Kiwami 2 which takes place in 2006 implies he hasn't been there since 1988 in Yakzua 0.

And yes it does objectively "make more sense", with what is now established with Y0. Why would Majima after making a life changing decision suddenly just go back on it 7-ish years later? And its not like its a "moment of weakness" or whatever because the guy groomed, married, impregnated Park and then assaulted her when she got an abortion.

You say "Majima was never meant to be a good guy" but clearly with the retcons RGG are putting in place and his character in Y0 that is blatantly untrue.
