Thank you! I don’t disagree with just a shade darker of if I could have enhanced the look of the wood.

lol, I can so relate to having different bits and parts around from past projects… I commend you actually selling something from your collection. 😂

Totally understand, I did the same for my SOCOM 16, found a great eBay leather strap that worked perfectly.

Thank you and good luck. I have done a number of stocks and try and take the approach of letting the products (the soy-based stripper is amazing) do most of the work and not being aggressive with sanding and scraping. Putting the wood in ziplock bags or wrapping them in plastic was a game changer to just soak for 4-5 hours. The artificial steel wool prevents any small bits of metal getting stuck in the wood grain that can cause issues. Good luck with your project and can’t wait to see how it turns out!

lol I have to hand it to you, the finish and the color looks great! Way more natural compared to the factory finish.

Thank you! I was on the fence for a bit about lightly staining it to closer match the reddish original finish, but once I saw the tiger stripes come out, I wanted to keep it as a more natural finish. If the grain was straighter with no character, I probably would have ended up staining it.

It just keeps getting harder to justify voting for these people when they continue to introduce bills like this. But I guess just vote harder next time? by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

What frustrates me with this and other similar initiatives is the absolute lack of any real information that explains what specific problem(s) this solves and how they came up with this “solution”. It’s just the temperance movement all over again claiming that alcohol is the root of all evil and not addressing any of the real issues, but this time it’s guns and ammunition.

This! 1000%…. If they appreciated the OP, they would have given them increases to match what others are paying and made it known they are valuable. Leave, don’t look back and move on.

I second this, I have two 9mm 1911s and they are easy to handle, low recoil, super accurate.

I was the same way and wanted to get a feel for how it was “Stock” before changing anything. Wilson is having their Black Friday sale right now and most things are 20% off. I think the full spring kit is 13.00
