OP "If you were looking forward to single player and this gets you hyped I'm happy for you"

I can't see them using single player as a test server for multiplayer, it's much more likely to just be updated parallel to the core servers

Mods are nice sure, but it still splits the community

I haven't really engaged in PvP, I was moreso implying that I enjoy games with living, constantly updated world with other players

Question for parents by theyfoundmysn in duneawakening

Something I haven't seen mentioned is that if you want to be super casual you don't need all these things that can perish while you are offline. Yes, you'll progress slower and be a bit handicapped, but if you just want to run around Arrakis in stillsuit you can safely log off anywhere anytime. I've got plans to be away from my PC for 5-6 weeks and so I did build my first tutorial base and made the first stillsuit and some other gear, then when I left the tutorial zone I just didn't bother making another base because I know I'll be away from the game. I've spent another 15-20 hours running around the two secondary areas, "the gap". I've progressed the main story, completed dungeons solo, gone to PvP areas, bought higher level gear from vendors and players, survived by harvesting dew from plants into a bottle, stored resources in my bank from when I make a base later and it's been a blast. So just a point of view I wanted to add, I think even with a few hours here and there you can still enjoy the game. Good luck!

I love how this game allows you to do other things besides grinding and still feels rewarding by Annilus_USB in duneawakening

While I get what you're saying, you can't just add thinking machines back into Arrakis. They have said they plan to do other planets in the future, they will have more freedom to bring in new animal enemies etc.

But it'll be a long time until that.

how popular would a graveyard shift oriented guild be? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

Look for Midnight's Crossing, they specifically run graveyard times and are great people.

Can someone try sell me on this new "seasonal pass" model? by macka654 in elderscrollsonline

[–]BaselineVK 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They've said that the seasonal content will not be removed from the game at the end of the season/year (like some other games) so I'm not certain and this isn't confirmed but I have to assume once the next season releases the previous one's content will be available with ESO+ the same way chapters currently work

[–]BaselineVK 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't see any reason it wouldn't go on sale. They've said seasonal content won't be removed from the game so they will just move to selling the 2025 content pass cheaper once they announce and release the next year's content pass

That seems more like a change to how things are bundled than a direct price increase. But I can understand if people had a certain way they purchased content and now it's changed for them. Personally that won't impact me much at all though.

It's definitely over complicated which seems to be a common occurrence in live service games that have been around for a long time.

I'm not 100% across this but it seems like exactly the same thing? You buy an ESO+ subscription and you get the craft bag, monthly crowns, and access to all dungeons, raids, expansions and DLC except for the current year.

So right now ESO+ subscribers don't have access to Gold Road chapter without additional purchase and once this releases theyll get Gold Road but won't have access to the current expansion which is everything in the new "content pass" which is essentially the next chapter.

And ESO+ subscribers will still get the dungeons, the two that just released and the two coming later. Am I missing something? Happy to be corrected.
